King Soleil was the wise and respected leader of the distant planet of Raaza. His rule was kind and just. He possessed an ancient artifact of great power--a necklace composed of many shining crystals that held the powers of the legendary heroes of the past. Due to repeated attempts by the villains of Raaza to steal the artifact, he embedded the crystals into his own body, fusing it with his life force so that only in his death could it be taken. This fusion granted him unmatched power and greatly extended life.

Many peaceful years past without much word from the notorious Dark Court. King Soleil's sacrifice caused a time of peace on Raaza never before witnessed. His loyal protectors continued to train, however, in case the day came when they would be needed.

The day did come without warning, when a great war between good and evil erupted. The Dark Court had been building up their forces and planning a massive strike, which they released directly onto the palace. Not wanting the war to completely destroy the millions of innocent lives on Raaza, the heroes fled the planet, taking the battle into space.

The battle in space was fierce. The Guardians were not able to keep the villains from getting to their king. A devastating and nearly fatal blow was struck to King Soleil during the war, forcing the pieces of the artifact to be ripped from his body. The fight for the shards was futile, resulting in neither good nor evil taking possession of them, but heroes, villains and magical items all traveled across the galaxy until their strength was gone and they were forced to find ground.

The villains of Raaza have landed on Earth and the pieces of the artifact are now scattered across the city. King Soleil himself, hurt from the attack and having most of his soul ripped out of his, degenerated into "Shadow", a hollow hell of himself, defenseless and weak. His only saving grace is a single crystal of the artifact that remained embedded inside his. The heroes are in hiding until they can regroup and find their dying king.

Meanwhile, humans have begun to find the shards of the artifact. Upon contact they are granted the abilities of the legendary hero the crystal holds. Can mere humans handle these powers? And what will happen when the villains discover they hold pieces of the artifact?

Who will find King Soleil first, the newly created heroes or the villains? Will the newly created superhumans use their powers for good? Now it's up to the you to recover the pieces of the artifact, save the king, and keep Earth from being thrown into chaos!
