Talon's pupils thinned, as he saw Katia get hurt. "BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!" He stood up as Rainer tried to take Katia away, only for Talon to tackle him through a wall, sending his switch blade into his side, causing the pure blood to shout in pain.

Asher and Ushi ran back into the building, with their silver swords in hand.
"Katia..." Ushi ran to her, seeing that she had been impaled...though the wound was slowly healing. "She's lost a lot of blood." She looked at Asher.
Asher glared at Rainer...knowing what kind of sadistic prick he really was. "Of all the vampires...I never really thought you'd ever harm Katia like that.."

Rainer looked to Talon, "That whelp got a death sentence placed on her head, and I get here to find out she's actually been impregnated by him, I couldn't let her live with that disgrace."

Talon readied his silver switch blade, only for several memories to flash before his eyes, of numerous vampires falling at his hands, at his knife.

"So?" Asher snarled. "It's not up to you to dispense the counsel's punishment." He growled to Rainer.
Ushi glared at Rainer, as her eyes flashed red. "So you'd kill her instead...what kind of monster are you?"
Katia moaned quietly. "T....Tal...on...." she spoke at length. "R....Rai....ner...."

Talon shouted, "I'm going to kill you Rainer!!!!" And charged forward.

Rainer shook his head, though he still heard Katia's voice as he grabbed Talon's wrist, and shattered it with his grip, "Katia, why did you leave?"

Katia moved her head towards Rainer's voice..though she had not yet opened her eyes. "Wh...why should...we...do...what...the counsel...wants...us...to do...." she replied in a weak tone. "Wh....why...can't...we...choose....our....own...." her voice trailed off, unable to finish what she was saying.
"She's lost way too much blood." Ushi said, as she looked up at Asher. "If she doesn't feed...she'll die..."

Rainer turned his back on them, "Goodbye Katia, may you die here, lest the council punish both you and your pet." He left out the front door.

Talon immediately ran to her, and offered Katia his neck, "Feed, feed dammit, please Katia."

Ushi opened Katia's mouth, and gently lifted her to Talon, so she could feed on him. "Come on, Katia.." She whispered.
Katia weakly gripped Talon's shirt, as her fangs pierced his skin. The taste of his blood seemed to rush through her, like wildfire, as she fed on him. The wound upon her belly healed quickly. Then, when she remembered what had happened, she began to cry, and pulled her fangs from Talon's neck.

"It is the counsel's decision." The head of the counsel, a well groomed man appearing to be in is 40's spoke in a firm tone. "If she will agree to marry her betrothed, as arranged, all transgressions will be put aside." He looked directly at Valentina, whom stood before him in a black gown. "You will give this declaration to Rainer...and he, as well as yourself, will rein Katia in."
"As for the mid-level vampire, turned by the ancient pureblood, Saraphis; he will be brought to our prison, until such time as we see fit of his release, or death." An older woman, in her late 40's spoke. "If need be, we will order Saraphis' compliance in this matter."
Valentina merely bowed her head slightly. "I will carry out the counsel's will." She said, then left the darkened room. She then took her cellphone from her female 'servant', and sent a text to Rainer.

Rainer looked to his phone as he walked away, and sent a text back, 'she's dead'.

Katia rested her head on Talon's shoulder, still weeping. "It's....it's my fault..." she whispered, as she wept.

"Dead?!" Valentina stopped in the middle of the hallway, and fell to her knees, as her eyes began to well with tears.

"It's no one's fault, but Rainer's." Ushi stated flatly, as she rose to her feet.
Katia looked up at Talon, tears still flowing from her eyes.

Valentina stared at her phone, as her female 'servant' attempted to lift her from the floor. "She's...she's dead...." Valentina spoke in a soft tone, as she began to cry. "My daughter is dead..."

Looking at Katia, and the expression on his face, an image flashed before his eyes, of a similar looking woman, and his hands stained in her blood. Talon fell over unconscious, dropping his silver knife.

Asher, not saying a word, walked over to Katia and an unconscious Talon. Ushi leaned down to Katia, and lifted her from Talon's lap, and carried her to a new room. Asher picked up Talon, and followed Ushi. He placed Talon on the bed, while Ushi set Katia beside him.
"Just rest." Ushi said. "Asher and I will be down stairs."

The Blood of Thine Enemy - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Blood of Thine Enemy   The Blood of Thine Enemy - Page 14 EmptyTue Jan 21, 2014 7:59 pm

Sally trudged down the street, kicking angrily at pebbles or cans that lay on the sidewalk. She mumbled to herself angrily as she walked, she kept repeating "How dare they" over and over again replacing the rest of the sentence with various things. The problem she was having and the root of her anger was her classmates at school. The girls that she had been friends with just a year ago were now teasing her incessantly because she didn't wear the same clothes or like the right music, or watch the right shows. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all. A year ago she had had several friends and they would all go over to one another's houses and play or go to different places and then all of a sudden she was alone. None of them wanted anything to do with her anymore and the few people she thought she could count on to stay with her had left her in order to be thought of as "popular."
She let out an angry growl and kicked a tin can especially hard. It went tinking and clacking down the sidewalk until it bounced into the street and got run over by a car with a crunch. She kept walking and kept mumbling to herself. She set small rocks and random other things abandoned on the pavement clattering away from her until she got close to the alleyway.
It was always so dark down there, due to how close the buildings were together that the sun never penetrated the gloom. She had been terrified of something coming out of the alleyway to hurt her since she was small. The dark was still one of her top fears even though she was almost twelve years old now. Absolute darkness made her nervous. A vivid imagination could paint a simple sound into a hundred darker possibilities, each one more gruesome and sinister than the one she thought of before it.
Her mumbling died away and she lightened her footsteps so that she made as little sound as possible. Slowly she crept by the alley mouth, keeping the dark tunnel in her peripheral vision so that observers wouldn't think she was scared of it by staring directly at it. A tentacle slowly slithered out of the opening and wrapped itself around her leg. A man jumped out with a gun and pointed it at her. A wild dog attacked her and killed her. She was kidnapped and taken away from her family and her friends who weren't friends anymore and her body was cut up to be sold.
A bang came from inside the alley making her jump. She stared directly into the oppressive darkness searching for the source of the sound. It came again, it was quieter now that she was actually listening for it. And again, this time the noise was accompanied by what sounded like it could be groan or a grunt.
Sally felt her heartbeat quicken. Her eyes were straining as she tried to stare through the darkness. She saw a shape huddled near one of the walls of the alley. The banging came again and she saw what looked like an arm flail in the shadows to hit an old trashcan lid propped against the wall. Whatever it was grunted in pain from the contact but did it again a few seconds later regardless.
Curiosity overriding common sense, Sally cautiously stepped into the dark confines of the alley and slowly made her way to the huddled shape. Placing one hand on the wall to help keep her bearings she watched as the shadowed mass lay on the ground. It had stopped hitting its arm against the trashcan lid, meaning it must have sensed her approaching it. About ten feet from the thing her hand brushed against something sharp and she instinctively brought her hand to her chest. Examining it she couldn't be entirely sure but in the dim light it looked like her palm had been cut open.
Then and there she thought about turning around. She hated the dark and now she had cut herself and opened a pathway for a hundreds of thousands of germs to get into her body and kill her from within. A groaning kind of moan came from the huddled mass and she reluctantly made her way towards it again.
Standing over top Sally looked down. She was shocked to find two dull green eyes staring back up at her. For a while they stared at one another without speaking.
"W-What are you doing down here?" Sally asked the girl, nothing but curiosity in her voice. Whoever it was tried to say something but a crackling rasp was all the sound they could make. Without thinking Sally reached out with her injured hand to touch this other person. Unbeknownst to her her wound which hadn't had the time to properly coagulate and stop bleeding was still oozing crimson drops of blood. One of these droplets of blood managed by luck to land on the mouth of the person collapsed in an alleyway.

The crimson droplet fell through the dark surroundings and hit her parched tongue. Taste exploded in her mind, the thickness of the liquid. The taste of iron and what could only be describes as the taste of the color Red. The way i slid down her tongue, to the back of her throat and down her esophagus into her stomach. Energy flooded her and she managed to croak out a single word. "More."

Sally took a step back when she heard the voice. "More what?" She asked, suddenly unsure if this was a good idea or not. Her logical mind told her it definitely was not. Her eyes were growing accustomed to the darkness and she could now start to make out the body of a girl about her age in what appeared to be a robe that was torn to shreds.
The girl raised her arm again and weakly grabbed at Sally's wrist. She flinched slightly but didn't pull away from whoever this strange girl was. The hand was weakly tugging on her arm, trying to bring it closer to where the girl's mouth would be. Sally allowed this to happen and then let out a sound of disgust when she felt the girl's dry tongue run over her palm. The girl's tongue was forceful as it prodded at the cut on her palm causing the wound to open slightly larger and allowing more blood to escape.
What is she doing? Sally thought in confusion, her mind at a blank for dealing with this situation. Is she drinking my blood?
An image popped into her head. A man with a horribly cliche accent, white glistening fangs, deathly pale, and a long cape. Dracula. The image brought an odd feeling to her stomach. It felt like she was going to be sick but it wasn't a bad feeling per se. When she reflected on it the feeling actually registered as good.
Her mind then recoiled at the idea and she pulled her hand away from the girl's grasp.

The source of the delicious liquid was torn from her grasp and she let out a sad noise. "Please. More" she begged again. She was so weak she cold still barely move. The energy provided by the red liquid was helping but there was more that she needed. More to live.
"You want more?" Sally asked the strange girl.
"Please." The girl begged.
"Come with me. I know where you can get a lot more." Sally felt herself smile as her mind calculated possibilities and futures.

Watching the weakened girl get up was a pain but Sally didn't help her. Once she was on her feet however, her legs shook and she looked about to collapse. Sally gave her her hand again and the girl drank a bit more from her palm but allowed Sally to take her hand away.
"Follow me," she told the girl. And with a smirk on her face Sally lead her out of the alley and out onto the sidewalk.

The dog was limp on the ground while the girl kneeled beside it. Her chin was covered in blood which she wiped off with one hand and began licking it up.
"Thanks," Sally said to her with a smile. "That dog was always mean and barking at me. It deserved this."
The girl only nodded. Her dull green eyes gaining a bit of shine to them turning them sea green instead of lifeless pits.
"Are you a vampire? Or just some weird crazy person."
"Vampire, I think." She responded.
"You think?" The girl only nodded in reply. "Well do you have a name?"
She seemed to think hard before replying. "Sylph?" She thought about it for a while longer and then finally nodded in agreement with herself. "It is Sylph."
Sylph grinned up at Sally, her teeth stained a light shade of pink.

Sylph stretched underneath the warm water as it washed the grime and filth from her body. The burn scars had healed some but she'd need better quality blood before they'd fade entirely it seemed. She looked up at the shower head with wonder. When Sally had first shown her how it worked she had been mystified and awed at how casually the other girl had manipulated such a complex magic. She was lost in thought, her thoughts bouncing around in a head empty of memories. Unsure of anything. This shower seemed to be a common thing but she hadn't ever heard of it before, or had she? She couldn't know for certain.
A hand reached in through the curtain and turned the water off. Sylph made noises of disapproval.
"Bed time," Sally told her. "You must be sleepy."
Sylph was tired. Something made her feel disgusted at being ordered around by a human but she didn't know why. So instead of trying to figure it out while she was so sleepy, she decided to decide what it was tomorrow. She let Sally lead her to a bedroom where two mattresses had been set up.
"This ones mine and that's yours." Sally said pointing to each bed in turn.
Sylph, to tired to argue or whine simply nodded and crawled into the bed she had been given. Cocooning herself in the blanket she was soon fast asleep.

The Blood of Thine Enemy - Page 14 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Blood of Thine Enemy   The Blood of Thine Enemy - Page 14 EmptyWed Jan 22, 2014 7:29 pm

Sally dragged herself reluctantly out of bed at the sound of an alarm. She yawned and shut the annoying thing off and went through her morning routine. She brushed her teeth, showered and then went back to her room to get dressed. Her exhaustion vanished at the sight of the girl sleeping on the spare mattress on her floor. The blanket was wrapped around her body like a cocoon and there was a wet spot near her mouth where the drool had soaked into the pillow. Mumbling to herself Sally shook Sylph until the other girl opened her eyes.
She made an exhausted groaning noise and promptly went back to sleep. Sally shook her again, harder this time but Sylph refused to wake up. So she pulled on the blanket and fought to get her out from inside of it. Somehow she succeeded.

Sylph sat on the edge of the mattress and yawned. "It's about time you got up." Sally told her indignantly. Sylph rubbed at her eye. "I have to go to school and you're coming with me."
"Sylph does not know what school is."
"Jeez! It's where you go to learn. Get an education. Be successful in the world!"
"Why does Sylph need an... Education?"
"Because you have to."
Sylph didn't say anything to this, but her expression clearly showed how confused she was.

Sally showed her how to brush her teeth and do other things that she was told were, "important to the health of a young lady." Sylph didn't understand the point. It was all just a hassle. She wanted to go back to sleep but Sally kept nagging her to the point where she'd simply do as told to keep her quiet. In an outfit borrowed from Sally, the two of them went downstairs.
"Mom's left already. As usual." Sally grumbled angrily. She went to the refrigerator, a chrome colored stainless steel beast that looked like it could hold an entire cow. Inside the appliance seemed to be enough food to keep a household of five going for a month. In the front of uncooked ham and vegetables were two plates with precooked meals on them covered with saran wrap. Taking the food from the fridge, Sally put both plates in the microwave and heated them.
"Go sit at the table." Sylph tilted her head so she pointed the table out to her. When the food was ready Sally set one in front of Sylph and then the other before the a chair across from her.
"Hurry up and eat. We don't want to miss the bus."
"Bus?" Sylph asked through her food. "What is a bus?"
"You'll find out. Just eat!" Sylph did as she was told.

The two of them stepped out into the chilly morning air and Sally locked the door to the house behind them.
"So Mom said that she thought it was nice that I had a friend sleep over. But next time she wants me to let her know before. Like she'd even be around to care. Nothing I do affects her."
"Is that how you communicate?" Sylph asked her. When Sally gave her a blank look she pantomimed writing on a piece of paper.
"I guess. Mom's never around when I'm at home so we leave notes for each other to read."
"Where is Mom? Who is she?"
"She's my mother. Gave birth to me." Sally put a hand to the bridge of her nose. "You're going to drive me insane. Thank God you're a vampire. She's at work, always."
" Sylph does not know-"
"Work is where people go to make money. Don't even ask." Sylph obediently stayed quiet.

They got to the bus stop and the two of them stood in silence for a while.
"So what's it like being a vampire?"
"You asked Sylph that last night." She informed Sally. "Sylph does not remember anything from before Sally found her. Other than her name and that she is a vampire"
"I already know your name. Please stop saying it."
"How"
"Say I or me when you talk about yourself."
"Okay..." Sylph felt uneasy as she tried out the words. "Sy... I Do not remember anything from before Sa," Sally gave her a quick suggestion, "From before you found... me."
Covering her face with her hand Sally heard the bus coming around the corner. "Before you ask that yellow thing is the bus. It takes us to school. Don't talk to anyone on the bus, okay? Just smile and nod if they ask you anything."
Sylph smiled, she did remember what smiling was, and nodded to Sally in understanding.

The bus ride was more or less uneventful. Some of the kids in the back of the bus started calling her names as she took her seat but she ignored them, anger building up inside her. She bit down on it though. Her plan was not something to be rushed. Sylph wasn't the sword she had been praying for but a hammer would work just as well. Once they realised that Sally wasn't going to take their bait they started teasing Sylph who was completely unaware of their intentions so she just smiled at them and nodded along to whatever they called her. This made them all laugh harder and Sylph to simply get more confused.

The day dragged on for Sylph who had absolutely no idea what was going on. This scared her but also made her angry. She was angry at Sally for not telling her what school was so she could understand it and prepare herself. She was mad at the people who kept looking at her with that disdainful look every time she asked a question, which was about every other minute. And once Sally informed her that the other kids were making fun of her, and coincidentally what being made fun of meant, her mood dipped dangerously into hatred. She wanted the teachers, she learned that was what they were called, who kept giving her annoyed looks to have their throats torn out so they couldn't talk. She wanted to do mean things to the kids who were teasing her and Sally. And there was one particular boy who would not stop staring at her.
He kept casting furtive glances in her direction the whole day. and she was getting incredibly sick of it. She wanted to pull his eyes out of his head and feed them to him. Maybe fill the empty sockets with piss or screw light bulbs, once she knew what those were, into them to see if they'd turn on.
The bus ride back at the end of the day saw the two of them fuming silently together. Sally had gotten tripped, accidentally of course, and had fallen on top of a kids lunch tray staining her shirt with greasy ground beef. Sylph herself had had milk accidentally poured down the back of her shirt. The whole time she had never taken the smile from her face and her cheeks hurt by the time the two of them got off the bus.
The short walk back to Sally's house was done with quieted, anger filled, conversation.
"We'll get them back. Don't you worry, we'll get them back." Sally mumbled seemingly to herself.
"Sylph will hurt them. Syl... I want to make them scream."
"We will. We will."

There were two more saran wrapped plates in the fridge. Sally heated them up and the two ate.
"Why do you let them treat you that way?" Sylph asked her.
"I don't have a choice! You think I let them make fun of me? Trip me during lunch? I don't let them do anything. They're assholes! And they all used to be my friends."
"Can Sylph, er, I help?"
Sally looked at her, their eyes met and Sally wiped away the tears that were starting to form. Sally pretended to think hard about it. Then she said with a smile.
"I think I might have an idea."

It had been a few days for Sally to fully inform Sylph of her plan and for Sylph to agree to it. She hadn't been very resistant to begin with and having to endure the constant bullying alongside Sally hadn't made things any better. Once she had tried to talk to one of the girls who had been teasing them and the girl had given her the wrong answer. The entire class laughed when she tried to tell the teacher that it was the right one. So when Sally finally asked her if she would help her, that it would be okay if she said no and if she said yes she couldn't go back on her word. Sylph barely had enough patience to let Sally finish asking her before she said that she would.

To aid them, Sally had shown Sylph information on vampires hoping it would help jog her memory. It hadn't really and Sally was saddened when a lot of the things that every story agreed on for vampire abilities turned out to be fake. But she didn't let it bother her. Instead the two of them dressed in black clothing the night she had chosen and slipped out quietly into the night.

The first bully's name was Jennifer. Sally had Sylph sneak into the house and knock Jennifer out and the take the girl into one of the vacant houses near by. The girl had been afraid when she first woke up tied to a wooden chair. Then when she saw who it was she had gotten angry and started yelling. Cursing at Sally, calling her names, saying that she'd better let her go right now or she'd get the cops. Sally slapped her as hard as she could and watched Jennifer's head snap to one side and the chair tilted up onto two legs. Jennifer opened her mouth so Sally hit her again, a punch this time.
"Shut up." Sally told her. She didn't yell, or raise her voice or even sound angry. Jennifer closed her mouth again, tears running down her cheeks now.
Sally went down the list of names she'd been called. Over every slight the girl or hr friends had done to her. She either punched or kicked Jennifer telling the girl to apologize. By the end of the torture session Jennifer was bleeding and covered in ugly bruises and she was sobbing. Sylph idly played with a few teeth that Sally had knocked out of Jennifer's mouth.
"Sylph," Her voice was an order leaving no room for question. "I bet you're hungry again. Well there won't be anymore dog blood or cat blood for you anymore." She didn't have to look to know that Sylph was grinning big now, her two fangs glistening and her eyes flashing green.

Sylph advanced on the hurt and bound girl. Jennifer looked up and through her tears and sobs begged her to leave her alone. Sylph ignored her and leaned close to the girl's face. "Shhh." She cajoled the girl placing a finger against her split lips. Jennifer fell silent and Sylph took her finger away and licked the small amount of blood from her finger. The taste of human blood filled her senses and she shuddered in delight. "Delicious... Sylph is going to enjoy eating you."
Jennifer struggled but she kept her mouth shut despite her efforts to open them to scream as Sylph's mouth closed around her throat. The two fangs punctured her carotid artery and with each beat of her heart more and more blood made its way down Sylph's throat until there was nothing left.

Sylph wouldn't stop smiling and she kept discovering more blood that she'd greedily suck and slurp. It was getting on Sally's nerves but she was kind of afraid to say anything. The look in Sylph's eyes when she had finally pulled away from Jennifer's neck, a mix of immense satisfaction and the lust for more, had terrified her. But for now at least Sylph would behave. In the future she wasn't sure that she could keep the vampire under control. Maybe this wasn't the best of ideas.

Jennifer was the first to go missing. In the few weeks follow six more of Sally's classmates who had been bullying her disappeared. Only a few had been found, beaten bloody with two puncture wounds in their necks.

OOT Sorry for another super long post.

Talon rose an eyebrow, "How am I going to do that, she'll kill me instantly."

"We'll have to persuade her somehow." Katia replied. She rested her head on Talon's shoulder. "If Rainer ever comes for us again, he'll kill us both."

******

Valentina sat in her car still noticeably distraught over the news of Katia's death. Suddenly, her cellphone rang...it was the counsel. She sighed heavily, and answered the phone. "Yes?" a pause..."I'll look into the situation."
