| Hey guys, just wanted a moment of time to ask you for your opinion on something as well as to give you a few related details to a project I am currently working on.
As some of you may know, I rather enjoy creating games and have recently started on one which I hope to finish. So far I have got the basic game concept as well as what I believe to be a fairly solid beginning, but as you may have worked out, I am not far into the process and haven't had much time to develop the idea further than that.
So this is where you guys come in. I am thinking about setting the the game as a linear RP on the forums but first I need to know if you guys would be interested in joining? Of course I don't expect you guys to commit to anything just yet, but a rough idea would help.
Some details for you guys to take note of; 1. This is for a game I am working on and I may take small things from the RP to fuel the game 2. The RP will be fairly linear, meaning that decisions and outcomes will be pre-decided but which one is taken is likely to be up to those who partake in the RP. 3. The world will have rules and restrictions, such as available races and possibly some restrictions on powers. 4. It is a work in progress and subject to change so expect some rough writing at parts where I am still editing and developing it. 5. I aim to make it fun and enjoyable. 6. If all goes to plan, long absences of people or slow replies should not affect the progressing storyline to much.
Let me know what you guys think by replying to the thread, if no one replies then I will assume their is a lack of interest. |

| Update:
Rough draft for introduction is completed, currently refining it and having people look over it. If anyone wants to lend a hand and put forward a few comments in on it, let me know. The style has been changed to more of a Visual Novel than a normal RPG but the story won't be affected by this and neither should the RP. In theory, it shouldn't be too long till I am happy to post it and get things started.
Some related questions for you all: Should the MC be male or female? (Won't affect the RP) A taste of daily life and the story or just a continuous story full of events? (Will have an effect on the RP) Day/Night Cycle? (Won't have much of an effect on the RP) |

I would like the character to be male, but maybe we should vote on it Maybe a taste of daily life, just want it to be interesting and if it's not too much trouble to add a Day/Night cycle, go for it |

| Okay made a few more changes, reverted back to my original concept slightly with more of an RPG feel to it. I have a basic world established with 5 different races and some info on relations between them. I am taking some inspiration from the D&D style of things but keeping it closer to the classic RP format we use on TBRP.
Notable differences will be the limitation that exist in the world, such as preset races etc.
Let me know if you have any ideas for races, notable landmarks such as cities or areas? The world is a high fantasy set up, but what do you want to see from it? Let me know if you have any other ideas you would like to see and I will see if they can be incorporated.
Current races are: Kitsune, Daemon, Human, Half-Giant, Wildling

| Reptilian/Amphibian race. If it's more of a mythical/magical involved world perhaps some sort of Faerie race generally small with wings. Perhaps the size of children. Some sort of more animal like race that is quadruped or mainly traverses on all four legs but can be bipedal if they wish. Is there a mythological/elder race that has perhaps faded out or are thought to be extinct? Are there a few of them still around yet the race itself has gone either due to the race vanishing or leaving to an unknown land? Does each race have a niche that they fit into in the larger society? You have the merchant race, the inventor race, ecclesiarchy race, etc.
Maybe set up like distinct city/town structures based off of the original areas each race had inhabited. So you have say a marsh/water type village and you have the cave dwellers and the city in the trees. Stuff like that. Each race would have some sort of architectural style that reflects their heritage and shows up in their buildings.
What era of progression is the society in? Is it medieval era like D&D or is it in a more modern time period? Is it somewhat post apocalyptic kind of like Fallout?
Something I like to see in a world is a sort of rich history. Something to explore or to take a measure of the world from. Was there just a big war and the world is still recovering; do you have this growing tension between classes/races and will there soon be some sort of civil war; is everything peaceful? Also what sort of deity/religion and myths are there?
When you say high fantasy, is that high fantasy with magic or is there no magic in the world? Are there general naming conventions for each race? For example in the Elder Scrolls game series each playable race has a certain naming structure for the NPC characters of that race. Something that when you hear it brings that race to mind. |

| Without giving away too much, the 5 current races are set up so that they all tie in together in various ways with different political standings, etc. The Kitsune are the "ancient" race alongside the Daemons. Humans are pretty typical. Wildlings are your wild race with a twist. The era is high fantasy, so medieval style yes, though I may add fantasy style guns but still not sure. I haven't decide on towns to the exact detail but the style of them is worked out. The faerie race is a nice idea, might add that. |

| Okay here is the basic info on the races so far:
- Spoiler:
Kitsune In the vast woodlands of the north is an ancient race of demi-humans. Through origins wrapped in myth and legend, these people gained the power of the fox spirit, gifting them several mystical powers and animal like qualities. The most obvious features of the Kitsune are there fox-like ears and tails, as well as there ability to morph into foxes when they so desire.
Their bodies are usually more fragile than that of other races but their minds are much wiser to the world, possessing a great deal of knowledge and sagely wisdom. Due to their culture and close ties to each other, the Kitsune prefer to remain in their forests but have been known to venture out into the world from time to time.
Visual Features Fox ears Fox tails (Males have one, females can have either one or nine) Often have colourful markings painted onto the body Amber/Golden or occasionally silver eyes
Pros Superior awareness (Vision and hearing) Agile Natural beauty Warm and fuzzy tail
Cons Inferior strength Inferior endurance Disliked by some and shunned Tail can get in the way
Daemon The demon race of the south. Daemon's resembled their ancestors with horns of various sizes and shapes as well as pointed tails and some still possessing small leathery wings. Whilst not all Daemon's have every one of their races qualities, they usually have at least one.
Although they possess superior strength and dexterity, their endurance and intelligence is often lacking. Whilst by no means being less intelligent that a human, they do not match the intelligence of a few older races.
Visual Features Horns Leathery wings Pointed Tail Crimson eyes White, red or black hair (Other colours are uncommon but possible)
Pros Superior strength Superior dexterity Can fly
Cons Inferior endurance Inferior intelligence Shunned by most societies
Humans Residing in the western plains, the humans are one of the youngest races in Telaria but by no means incompetent. Whilst they are rather average in general they do possess amazing creativity and survival instincts, allowing them to adapt to most situations with little cost.
Whilst they have no distinct features to aid them, they focus on mastering crafts and often become great merchants or crafters. Their neutral stance on the world often sets them apart from the other races and has allowed them to expand into many towns and cities, selling their trade through Telaria.
Visual Features No noteworthy features
Pros Capable of fulfilling most roles Capable warriors and crafters Excel at diplomacy Incredibly charismatic
Cons Average intelligence Lacking wisdom Often selfish Rivalries with several of the less “appealing” races
Half-Giants Half-Giants have lived in the east for longer than anyone can remember, their sheer size, strength and endurance allowing them to survive through whatever is thrown at them. They are very conservative however and often spend their entire lives within a small tribe, never leaving to see the wider world. The race is self sufficient and remains at controllable levels.
Other than their impressive size, Half-Giants are often covered in tribal markings and carry with them large clubs or other basic weapons. Whilst more advanced weapons do exist, many prefer simplicity.
Visual Features Stand around 8-12ft
Pros Superior strength Superior endurance Cons Often feared for their size Sometimes confused for monsters in the wild Inferior intelligence Inferior dexterity
Wildling Small creatures which reside in the centre of Telaria. They are believed to be wild in nature and are often avoided by all means. Whilst this is true of some who still follow ancient traditions and customs, not all act like there wilder members. Those that live near the borders of each kingdom tend to embrace the culture of other races and get along with them well.
Although some may not trust you straight away, those that do will often form strong bonds with Wildlings, gaining reliable friends and enjoyable company.
Visual Features Small, around 2-4ft Look like mini humans effectively Those that live with Kitsune wear fake ears and tails Those that live with Daemons wear fake horns, tails and wings
Pros Social and friendly or wild and vicious Reliable Superior dexterity Superior Charisma
Cons Inferior Strength Inferior Endurance Small and sometimes missed, stood on/knocked about When met for the first time in the wild, people tend to be cautious in dealing with them.
Fae Rumoured to be whimsically pixies who steal children in the night, their glade is left untouched by the world, in fear of provoking the rumours into existence. In contrary to the rumours, the Fae are actually peace loving and kind. They come in various forms, from Pixies to Nixies.
The inhabitants of the glade are known as the High Fae, the most elegant of their kind and often thought to the the wisest. Those that live in the northern forests are pixies, more mischievous but still pure of heart. The Nixies reside on the southern coast and around large ponds in the west.
Visual Features Small Delicate butterfly like wings Pointed ears
Pros Superior intelligence Superior dexterity Small and agile Surprisingly wise
Cons Inferior strength Inferior endurance Can be crushed if caught off guard Often a bad reputation to those who have never met them before
Dryad Resembling Humans, the Dryads are an all female race. Told apart by their green tinted skin and earth coloured hair, they embrace their natural lineage and clothe themselves in beautiful garments made from cloth and leaves.
Whilst no one knows where they come from, it has been established that this long living race is limited in number and steadily decreasing with each passing century. A dryad is truly a rare site in the current era but are most likely to be found in the northern forests.
Visual Features Green tinted skin (Can be a darker green or a less noticeable green) Earth coloured hair, often decorated with leaves Cloth and leaf clothes Female
Pros Superior wisdom Superior intelligence Agile Vast knowledge of the forests
Cons Inferior endurance Inferior charisma Heightened fear of being set alight
Dwarf Dwellers of the many caves and underground passes in the east, they share the land with Half-Giants, enjoying a mostly peaceful life. They engage in trading with the Half-Giants often and tend to get along with them.
Despite their short height, they are hardy folk with a great skill for a variety of crafts and resource collecting, not to mention they can hold their drink much better than most.
Visual Features Short Bearded Human like in appearance
Pros Superior strength Superior endurance Great crafters Great miners
Cons Inferior wisdom Inferior dexterity Slower movement Long beards can be difficult to maintain
Satyr Residents of the plains, living on the border of the northern forests. Satyrs possess the upper body of a male human and the lower body of a goat. They roam the forests for food and set up small camps along the border of the plains. They have had many bad experiences with the Wildlings that roam the centre of the plains and due to this are often not trusting of any Wilding they come across. It is said they have a weak spot for the Dryads.
Whilst they prefer to use rather basic tools such as spears and bows, Satyrs have been known to also wield sword and shield when called to guard their lands from any threat that may arise.
Visual Features Part human, part goat Slightly shorter than the average human
Pros Superior strength Superior dexterity Relatively fast
Cons Inferior charisma Inferior intelligence Dislike most clothing
Centaur Kings and queens of the plains, the Centaur's roam the wilds continuously. They hunt the wild creatures for food using expert bow skills. Being four legged they are extremely fast and very steady on their feet as well as strong enough to carry two people on their back.
Whilst their strength as a group is almost unmatched, their individual ability is lesser than that of most. They are swift and capable scouts but rely on their tribe to be effective against those who challenge them.
Visual Features Half human, half horse Large and well build
Pros Superior dexterity Superior charisma Very fast
Cons Inferior intelligence Inferior wisdom Lacks individual ability

| Okay here is an update and some simplifications:
Key Locations:
- Spoiler:
Key Locations
Northern Forest A tranquil forest located the at the northern most point of the continent. It covers a large expanse of land and is filled with a variety of creatures and plants. Although it boasts beautiful scenery, it is also a dangerous area due to the many guardians who have sworn to protect the land from hunters who may have been enticed by the hunting potential hidden away here.
Ellundril The capital of the Northern Forest. It is primarily inhabited by humanoid races such as the Kitsune and the Dryads. These two races, along with a few others, work hard to maintain peace within the city. The council avoids military action when possible and has worked hard to achieve a prosperous peace for the entire land.
Market stalls and shops line the streets as people go about their daily business. In the centre of the city is a large tree in which the council goes about its duties. Towards the outskirts of the town several inns and trading posts as well as what remains of the Ellundril barracks. The rest of the city is mainly residential with services spread throughout.
Arathil The ruins of a the once great town is now home to little more than a trading post, an inn and several small houses. Arathil is located on the border of the Northern Forest. The ruins are a popular destination for both locals and those who choose to travel from further afield. It is said that the town was burned to the ground by an ancient form of fire magic which leaves no burn marks or ash, merely stubs of buildings and ruined pathways.
Glade Isle A series of floating islands which lie deep within the northern forest. Whilst they have a long lineage, their appearance would make anyone think differently. Currently home to the Northern Druids, the islands boast large towers and expensive décor. Only one island has been left untouched by the druids in order for them to meditate and truly learn to become one with nature.
Eastern Ridge A line of mountains cuts across the entirety of the eastern continent, separating it from the rest of the world. Although passable, many choose to avoids its treacherous passes and ancient tunnels. Beneath the mountains live the dwarfs whilst the half-giants roam the rocky plains beyond them.
Vendragar The Dwarven capital, located deep beneath the Eastern Ridge. Unlike other Dwarven towns and villages which start in front of the mountains and work back into them, Vendragar is built entirely underground, linked to via tunnels from some of the main towns and villages of the Eastern Ridge.
The edge of the town has tunnels and rails to various towns and villages whilst the centre is a trading district. Between the trading district and the tunnels, is the residential district. Whilst in the mining towns there is a feeling of individualism and isolation, the city does not reflect this in anyway with a large community spirit throughout the city.
Margolor A large trading town located on the east side of the Eastern Ridge. From this town, the Dwarves engage in trade with the Half-Giants, exporting large amounts of ores and ingots in exchange for livestock and furs.
Frozen Plains The frozen plains occupy the centre of the Telaria. With vast grasslands at it's border and a snow covered tundra surrounding Mt. Frost at it's centre, the Frozen Plains are home to a wide variety of races. With such a central location, the land is full of trading towns of all sizes as well as uncountable routes and paths both around and across the Mt. Frost in order for travellers to reach the rest of the continent.
Southern Ridge The Southern Ridge, much alike the Eastern Ridge, separates the off part of the land of Telaria. Joined by the Frozen Pass, the Eastern and Southern Ridges from a curved “L” shape across the land. Unlike the Eastern Ridge, no notable races live within the mountains. South of the ridge, protected from the cold winds are the Daemon race.
Frozen Pass A long line of mountains that joins Mt. Frost to the Eastern and Southern Ridges. The Frozen Pass is also home to the quickest route between the Eastern and Southern Ridges without crossing over each mountain and wandering through unexplored caves.
The Kingdom of Eridor The home of the Human race. Upon reaching the shores of Telaria the human colonies were quick to establish a new kingdom named after their current king, Vale Eridora. The kingdom was unlike anything seen before in Telaria, introducing new and industrious technology as well as the addition of a new currency, gold. The introduction of gold was quickly taken vantage of by the dwarves, making them one of the richest civilisations in Telaria once a stable economy was established to replace the bartering system.
Eridor The first city established by the humans before the naming of their kingdom. Whilst larger and more industrious cities now exist, the humans continue to name this one as their capital focusing on offering a large variety of services and trading here as well as access to one of Telaria's largest ports along the Honey River.
A large castle stands at the centre of the city with residential and shopping districts spanning across the land around it in a large circle. Whilst the majority of the royal army is stationed here, they rarely have to deal with much more than upholding the kingdoms laws.
Vanguard Build on the edge of the kingdom, Vanguard is the home of a large portion of the human armies on Telaria. Most who are stationed here are either undergoing training or tasked to patrol the vast borders of The Kingdom of Eridor. The majority of the royal army who is called to arms in order to fight for the king can be found at the capital city, Eridor.
Soul The port town of Soul rests on the most westerly coast, providing trade links between Telaria and the human homeland. Troops, slaves and resources can all be found within Soul either having just arrived or in preparation to be sent elsewhere around the globe.
Honey River The main river which runs through the Kingdom of Eridor from it's source near Mt. Frost.
Crystal Stream Despite the name, it is actually the largest river in Telaria and stretches from the Eastern Ridge across the Frozen Plains and then south into Black Woods.
Black Woods A large forest which spans across the south of Telaria, beneath the Southern Ridge. It is within the Black Woods that the Daemon race can be found. The Daemon race is said to have grown the forest over a millennia ago out of jealousy towards the Kitsune who reside in the tranquillity of the Northern Forest. Many Kitsune will say the jealousy of the Daemon's turn their trees a dark colour however there has been no solid evidence to prove that this could be the case. Human and Dwarven scientists state that the trees in that area just happen to be such a dark colour.
Imperium The Daemon capital stands at the eastern shore of the Black Woods. Although the city has a large port it rarely exports or imports anywhere outside of the Black Woods. A large tower can be found on the western side of the city surrounded by a mix of residential and military districts. Trading and more luxurious residential districts exist further east of the tower.
Azure A large mining town located next to the Crystal stream as it pass through the edge of the Southern Ridge. Both the nearby mountains and river offer gold which is used on the rare occasion that the Daemons trade with outsiders. The mountains offer a variety of other minerals such as iron, silver, copper, tin and a colourful array of crystals and gems.
Wild Plains East of the Eastern Ridge is the wild plains, home of the Half-Giant tribes, powerful warriors and expert cattle herders. This region has gone nearly untouched for countless centuries as the Half-Giants happily venture around in small tribes taking large stocks of cattle with them in order to barter with other tribes and feed themselves.
Races:
- Spoiler:
Races
Northern Forest
Kitsune Residents of the Northern Forest, the Kitsune are a wise and ancient race that supposedly took on a humanoid form to survive against the array of predators in Telaria. Although a nomadic group at first, they found that they greatly enjoy the climate of the Northern Forest and quickly made it their permanent home, establishing a thriving community and building a civilisation based on peace and knowledge. Human-like appearance Possess fox ears and fox tails. Most possess one tail but some have up to nine. Have the ability to transform into foxes at the cost of using their other abilities.
Dryads Originally spirits who lived within the trees, the Dryads took on their slender and beautiful forms when the Kitsune first arrive within the Northern Forest. Having never met such a strange race before they were eager to talk with them and understand why they chose to live in such a dangerous part of the world. Between them, the two races managed to foster a civilisation of knowledge and peace, turning the once dangerous forest into a tranquil and charming place. Human-like female appearance. Skin is tanned or dark. Green hair, often with leaves or flowers mixed in. Can turn themselves into a tree at the cost of their other abilities and movement.
Fae Spirits of the forest which take on the shape of small humanoid like creatures with wings. They are old and intelligent but greatly enjoy playing around the forest or creating mischief for those who are unlucky enough to wander into their homes. No taller than 1½ft. Human-like appearance. Pale skin. Has butterfly-like wings.
Satyr The lower body of a goat and the upper body of a man, the Satyr spends most its life chasing after Dryads in the Northern Forest. Although Satyrs come from the Black Wood, the appearance of Dryads caught the Satyrs attention and large groups moved up to the Northern Forest to see them. Many of the Dryads say that their were once a group of their kin within the Black Wood which captivated the hearts and imagination of the Satyrs, resulting in their need to come and find the Dryads who had re-appeared within the Northern Forest. Unlike the Black Wood Satyrs, they have been cleansed by the Dryads and have a much more civilised appearance and possess a peaceful nature. Legs of a goat, upper body of a man. Faster than most humans. Possess short and stumpy horns on their heads.
Eastern Ridge
Dwarves Despite their size, there are few races as fierce, powerful and wealthy as the dwarves. Said to have been born from a curse upon a cult of Half-Giants, the Dwarves quickly fled to the mountains and made their home there. Whilst once being related to the large and peaceful wanderers, they are now a proud and industrious race who now resemble their human ancestors. Human-like appearance. Short. Often appear chubby but simply have a rounded frame.
Wild Plains
Half-Giants Peaceful nomads of the plains, the huge race has happily lived alongside its cattle for centuries. The race itself originates from a partnership between humans and giants, one which was created in order to save the dying race of giants in exchange for vast wealth being granted to the humans. Human-like appearance. Stands as tall as 10ft. Physically strong.
Wildlings A race of small and playful creatures who resemble dwarves but possess a thinner build. Some say that they are descendants of a tribe of dwarfs who didn't want to live in the mountains where as others say that they are a type of human that decided it wanted to live like dwarves but in burrows under hills rather than the mountains. Human-like appearance. No taller than 3½ft. Pointed ears.
Centaur The mighty horsemen of the east. These powerful creatures roam the wilds with pride, hunting their lands and trading with the Half-Giants. They are swift and strong making excellent scouts and mobile archers. Whilst they prefer the nomadic life, similar to the Half-Giants, they still enjoy the shelter of a good encampment and often remain in an area for a few days before moving out again. Half horse, half man. Physically strong. Almost as fast as a good horse.
Kingdom of Eridor
Humans The expansive empire of humans has long dominated the west but only recently landed onto the shores of Telaria, creating the Kingdom of Eridor. They are a powerful and inventive race which believes in strong economies and powerful armies to make its way through the world. Many tribes of humans also live outside of the kingdom creating rogue and barbarian factions.
Black Wood
Daemons A humanoid race which lives within the south of Telaria. Although they share the appearance of humans they do possess two notable differences, horns and a pointed tail. All Daemon's possess horns of various sizes upon their head, some even possess small leathery wings which serve little purpose other than being visually different. Whilst the race may once have been able to fly, few can in the present age. Legend says their demonic appearance originates from a jealousy towards the elegance of the Kitsune. Human-like appearance. Horns and tails. Some possess leathery wings. Tanned skin.
Black Wood Satyr Much alike the Northern Forest Satyr, the race has the lower body of a goat and the upper body of a man. Unlike the Satyrs of the Northern Forest, they had little interest in the Dryads who had appeared in the Northern Forest and preferred their home within the Black Wood. Black Wood Satyrs, unlike the group who had gone north had a much more wild appearance, sharing a similar style of horns to the Daemons. Visually similar to Satyr. Tanned skin.

Another thing. Are the daemons draconic? Nope, as the name suggests they are related to demons and angels |

To some degree, it won't be as linear a originally planned however it will run quest based system that tries to explore different aspects of the world. Ideally the plot will evolve as it goes on with various twists. Whilst some quests or parts of quests are laid out others will require some thinking from characters. Character creation will generally be set by the world but evolution of that will be down to the players. |

Although they cannot drain the blood of an enemy, they can still inflict wounds to draw a small amount of it out or use their own blood instead.
Lycanthropy Beasts of the moon and unstoppable hunters. Werewolves are a powerful and dangerous force in the wilds. They have superior sense and strength in their beast forms. The first transformation requires a full moon and is often seen as a coming of age ceremony in pure lycanthrope societies.
Moon Caller Most lycanthropes change when the moon is out but retain most their sense and control.
Raging Howler Some lycanthropes can change when they become enraged, they lose their sense of pain but also their control and senses.
Lunar Elder A rare type of lycanthrope exists in which they can turn into a werewolf whenever they choose but do not gain the same incredible strength which other lycanthropes experience. Lunar Elders are reliant on how visible the moon is in order to gain power.

| Okay guys, a quick update for you all!
The RP is almost ready to go live. The only things that remain unfinished are the religious beliefs in the world and how I want the RP to start. The beliefs can easily be completed during the RP but the start is a bit harder to RP without
Once I know how I want the RP to begin, I will post it up so that we can begin. |
