Lela kept her head down and he gaze low. "I'm afraid of the light." She said. She didn't know why she told her this, in fact she didn't even know why she was talking to her in the first place! Trying not to sound scared, she spoke again. "If you don't mind, I have to go somewhere..." Lela said. Turning around she began to run away.

Afraid... of the light? Newi was perplexed by the girl's answer. Crunching the numbers on impulse, time and space bent and warped. If you looked at it like a map instead of going across it you folded it in half and simply stepped through to the place you wanted to be. Newi appeared in front of Lela blocking her path.
"I can rid you of your fear." She said, holding out her hand.

Lela fell down as she bumped into the woman from before. Fear was on her face when she realized who it was. How did she do that...? She thought. Then she heard her say something. Get rid of my fears...? She could do that? Lela was looking up at the woman in front of her. Can she really believe what she's saying? She only just met the woman after all. Without knowing whay Lela nodded her head in response and grabbed the woman's hand.

"Good girl." Newi said. Quick as lightning she had the needle in the girl's neck. Pushing the plunger the clear fluid made its way into her vascular system. "Ssshhh." She cooed in the girl's ear. "You'll need your rest, little one."
Once the girl was fully sedated she calmly took her back to her current lab. Putting the girl on the old stained couch, she covered her with a blanket. "When you wake up, our fun can begin." Newi was giddy with excitement at the set of experiments she had in line for her new test subject.

Lela's eyes widened as she felt the needle go into her neck. She slowly began to lose consciousness as that last thing she remembers hearing was the woman ssssssshhhing her. When she woke up she was in a dark room covered by a blanket. The room was cold and damp and had this odd smell. Lela decided to get up and look for an exit. She noticed a door and tugged on the handle, but the door wouldn't budge. It was locked from the outside. Scared Lela sat down in the corner of the room and curled up into a ball, crying.

Sauriel closed his eyes and focused a good portion of his energy into this one attack, his most powerful light spell. Semira's distraction, although brief, gave him plenty of time to focus and channel his power. The demons approached quickly as Sauriel opened his eyes and looked at each of them, as if picking out targets at a shooting range.
"Until now, you have only seen a mere glimpse of the light. If you knew its true power...you would have realized how hopeless this fight was and ran away. But I'm afraid it's too late for that now."
Power began to violently surge all around him.
"Disappear."
Sauriel's wings started to glow a bright golden color as dozens of swords made of pure, solidified light appeared out of thin air, surrounding the elite demons on every side. There was no escape, no defense and no chance of survival at this point. With a wave of his hand, Sauriel commanded all of the swords to strike at once. They did so with such blinding speed that their impact seemed almost instantaneous. For all of their power, these new demons fell to the ground helplessly as their bodies were consumed and finally, they disappeared into a black and golden mist. Sauriel turned back to Semira.
"Not bad for our first team effort. In fact, I think that went very well."

Semira smiled
"Not bad at all, remind me never to make you mad"
she smirked
"I can only imagine that wrath I would have to face if I did"
she gave him a quick wink and nudged him in the arm. She the looked at Maurad
"what is that thing anyways and why do we need to destroy it?"


Amelia rested peacefully against her brothers chest. She slowly started opening her eyes, rubbed them an yawned
"Brother?"

Noise had a grin on her face. "A half-blood, eh?" Her gaze at the sleeping Decoda took on a dessective gleam. "Mother would be very interested in researching this one. But that can wait. I do not envy her. Having the two bloods clashing inside of her, constantly battling to be dominant. It must be hell."
Shaking her head she glanced over to Rail. They'd grown accustomed to one another by now, but when she let herself focus, Noise could feel the blood burning in her veins.
"Yeah... Mother would be very interested in this, 'Angel.'"

Siren looked at Noise, and raised her brow slightly. "I don't think that would be wise." She said, then looked back at Decoda. "Where there's a baby, there's parents." She said. "There's no way to know who they are or how she became a fallen angel." She looked back at the other three. "Honestly, I didn't know what I was getting into, and if I had known, I would've stayed out of it."

"Too late for us now." Noise said ruefully.
Rail got up and wandered over.
"Nanada." She said. Noise made a sound that seemed to be half chuckle, half sigh.
"My sister says we could use her blood to our advantage. Right?" Rail nodded.
"Shna lina gonata codanaw." Rail continued.
"Harsh." Noise decided. "She's suggesting to use Miss Decoda as a decoy so we can all escape. Though that would be a last resort, right?" Rail shrugged before nodding.
"Kaganet, iniyu nayuto. Sonaxus ononite mana."
"Right, right. By leaving traces of blood here and there we could effectively throw them off our scent. If that is how they're tracking us anyway."
Ro ew dlouc tsuj llik eht legna dna edarap reh esproc dnuora sa a eerf teffub." Rail said with a giggle. Noise shook her head amusedly. "Ganasa." Rail said with a pat on the young demon's back.

Newi opened the door, the artificial light illuminated the small room. Framed by the light of the opening she looked down at the child. "Stop crying in the corner and come her." She commanded. "That is if you would like to become without fear."

Maraud sighed.
"That is a lodestone. That is the core of the portal that is allowing this wave of demons to travel to this world. Incidentally, it is also the key to getting to Moloch's realm, assuming that Jokan boy can absorb the energy then construct a portal with it. So if you don't mind, before reinforcements arrive...?"

Cryth lifted her up.
"We really have to get you to control your powers. Seriously," he muttered to himself.
"You tired yourself out again, sis. Just lean on me, the battle's almost done. You did well."

Semira aimed her staff at the Iodestone, the tip of the staff started to glow bright red sending a beam of light towards it which then caused a massive explosion a few seconds later. The after shock of the explosion was strong enough to knock anyone who wasn't prepared for it off their feet, several of the demons, and bodies when flying past the group. Semira blinked realizing how much power she just used.
"Oops I think I might have over done it just a little"


"I don't remember using any powers, all I remember was telling the monsters to go away and then I woke up like this. I thought you fought them off"
Amelia rested her head back on Cryth's chest
"How much more do we have to do brother, I'm really tired"

Maraud rolled his eyes.
"Why do I get the feeling that's a problem you've got...?"
He studied the lodestone through the smoke as it cleared, and saw it was only chipped. "Oh for crying out loud, they REALLY want to keep this one."
More demons poured in from behind them, and as the soldiers turned to fight Maraud whipped round to Sauriel and Semira.
"You two focus on that lodestone. Don't let up. Once it goes down, the demons will stop coming."

Cryth saw the reinforcements and bore Amelia onto a nearby rocky ledge, then stood there ready to fight any demon that came close.
"After this Amelia, we need to have a long talk..."

Amelia brought her knees to her chest wrapping her arms around them
"Did I do something wrong brother?"
She rested her chin on her knees
"I don't like this at all"

Cryth rolled his eyes.
"Nah, just you keep taking down demons twice your size then forgetting how you do it!" He tried hard not to sound exasperated.
"Could you please focus on how you control your power? You know you have it, surely you must be able to control and sense it."

Siren looked from Noise to Rail, and back to Noise. "If that is what you propose, then I suggest you ask Decoda's permission." She said, as she rose from her chair, and walked over to a dirty window. "We may have some time to fake them out." She looked over her shoulder to the other three.

As Decoda slept, she was dreaming...well, more like remembering something, or being pulled into herself to remember something. She stood in a room that she had seen may times before. It was the same room, where she had begun her 'training' as a guardian angel, and the same room that she had received her first solo 'mission'. She walked over to the desk and ran her hands over it, with a slight reminiscent smile on her face.
Suddenly the door swung violently open, as a demon charged towards Decoda. She looked somewhat similar to herself, but with near white eyes, and wings that almost looked like metal.
"You have got to be kidding me!" The demon roared, as she pinned Decoda to the wall. "All these years, bound, and hiding, and you still run."
"What are you talking about?" Decoda asked, as she looked into the demon's eyes. "Who are you?"
"Oh you poor child," the demon released Decoda, and let her fall to the floor; "why, I'm you, of course." She folded her arms, as a sinister smile formed on her face.

Amelia looked up at her brother with a sad look
"I-I don't know how to, I tried but I can't"
a tear streamed down her face
"I didn't want to come here cause I don't know how to use my power and now you are angry with me...I-I'm sorry I'm such a burden on you brother"
Amelia quickly got up before Cryth could say or do anything and started running tears streaming down her face. 'I'm always a burden to him, all he ever does is worry about me. He is better off without me. She wasnt paying attention and just continued running with no particular place in mind to run to all she wanted to do was get away

OOT: Whoops, it looks like posts have been piling up while I was gone. Time to get back in the game!


Sauriel staggered to his feet, feeling a little drained after his last attack. After taking a few seconds to catch his breath, he went back to his usual battle stance.
"And here I was hoping that it would've been that easy."
He looked at Semira with a wry smile.
"Well, I suppose the only thing we can do is try it again. Let's get moving. Feel free to "overdo it" again if you're up for it."
He then spread out his wings and charged right towards the lodestone, his sword shining brightly as he approached. When he reached it, he circled it and started slashing away at every angle. He finished by charging his sword with even more power, flying to the top of the stone and slashing it vertically all the way down.


Tybalt looked around at Siren, Noise and Rail.
"So she has mixed blood, huh? That's odd...I've never heard of anything like that. In fact, I assumed it was impossible. But I suppose there's no real reason an angel and a demon couldn't have a child together. It just seems a bit unusual."
He couldn't help laughing.
"Of course, I suppose I'm one to talk about being unusual. Well, now that we have that settled..."
He looked over at Decoda. When he saw a pained expression on her face, he couldn't help but worry.
"Oh, my...it seems that whatever she's dreaming about is quite unpleasant."
He walked towards her and knelt down next to her, his face full of concern. He gently whispered to her.
"Decoda, are you alright? You're having a bad dream...please try to wake up."

Cryth would have done anything in the world to get her to come back at that moment.
"Amelia! AMELIA!!" he screamed, but his cries were lost in the roars of battle.
Maraud heard though.

Amelia found herself gently but resolutely pinned in a pair of lean but powerful arms.
"Please don't struggle," Maraud said softly. "I'm on your side."

Semira pointed her staff in Sauriel's direction motioning it in a circle. A beam appeared and created a circle which blasted all the way around Sauriel, blasting the demons away from him. Semira then walked over to the stone and pointed her staff directly at it. the stone started to heat up
"Well blasting it only seemed to do a little damage, maybe i can melt it away"
the stone got hotter and hotter, hotter then lava"


Amelia started to struggle, she clenched her eyes closed
"Please dont hurt me"
when he said he was on their side she then realized it was Maraud
"W-why did you stop me?"
she stopped fighting him and just relaxed herself there was no point in fighting for he was far to strong

Decoda heard Tybalt whispering to her, and she woke up immediately, her eyes almost drained of color. "I....she...." she paused, and looked around, as her usual blue came back to her eyes. She realized where she was, and she looked at Tybalt. "How long was I asleep for?" She asked him.

Sauriel looked at the demons that were blasted away then back at Semira.
"Thanks."
He nodded and flew into the air to put some distance between himself and the stone, noticing that Semira had started heating it up.
"Interesting strategy...it might even work."
Holding his sword up, he called fireballs down onto the lodestone, heating it up even further.


Tybalt sighed in relief.
"Oh, don't worry, you weren't out for very long."
He glanced back towards the others with a smile.
"We were just discussing strategy, that's all. We were also talking about...ah..."
He hesitated, unsure of how Decoda would take the news of her mixed heritage.

Scared of what the woman might do, Lela did as she was told and slowly walked over to where she was. The room they were in was quite bright and it took a minute for Lela's eyes to get used to it. Once her eyes adjusted to the light she saw a table with a few trays and utensils on them. There were machines near the table and a few chairs in the mostly grey room as well. Lela began to feel more unsettled when she saw the room. Surly this woman wasn't gonna do anything to her, right? Lela knew she was wrong but this thought was the only thing that kept her from screaming.

Decoda sat up and tilted her head slightly. "Talking about what?" She asked, as she looked around.

Siren turned, and walked to the doorway, leaning against the frame. "Your blood, actually." Siren replied.

A puzzled expression formed on her face. "Why are you talking about my blood?"

"Because a battlefield is not a good place for crying girls to be," Maraud chided.

The lodestone glowed white-hot, but it was still intact. Flying demons screeched as they flew towards Semira and Sauriel.

Amelia looked down
"I-I'm sorry"
was all she said. She kept her eyes to the ground. 'I'm just a burden on everyone, its because of me we have to fight these demons' a tear streamed down her cheek and she sniffed


Semira sent another blast towards then oncoming demon horde
"Well looked like heating it isnt going to work, maybe physical attack"
she looked up at Sauriel
"Try hitting it with your sword a few times"

"Are you hungry, Little One?" Newi asked the girl. She gestured towards a small table set against the wall. A plate sat there with something on top of it. "I know it isn't much, but your welcome to it."
She waited for the girl to take a seat in the chair she held out for her. "Do you have a name?"

"Esuaceb uoy tog su otni siht ssem." Rail said bitterly.
"What she means, is that we think your mixed blood might have something to do with our predicament. The demon part of your blood is messing with the angels' senses." She shrugged. "Such a pointless war. Why must we hate one another?" Noise asked sadly, looking at her sister.
