Something was shifting inside him... a weakness, suddenly fading...

The shadows didn't understand, they were glad but they didn't understand.
The mind they had been suppressing had somehow... given up. It had faded, the memories gone... it appeared it had chosen suicide over allowing the shadows access to his memories... well, no matter. It had the body, it had the power. It could easily mimic Tyrcestus's mannerisms, become indistinguishable.
The cat-girl would be the hardest one to fool... but now the mind was gone... there was nothing to stop it tearing her apart first when the time came...

In Lucy's pouch, the wedding ring suddenly flared with light, glowing with a now fierce intensity...

Acheron, the rangers, and Victoria had been apart from the group for a long while, but were finally on a pathway which would lead them back. Looking to Victoria, Acheron sighed, "I'm sorry for getting us that lost............"

Thera raised her brow, and tilted her head slightly, as she wrapped her whip around her waist and walked over to where her scythe was buried. As she dug up her scythe with, she said: "I'm sorry, goblin was one language I could ever grasp." She picked up her scythe, and turned around.

"its fine we all get lost sometimes, remember when you found me in the woods that day?, well i was lost myself"
she laughed
"i had no sense of direction"

Acheron smiled warmly, "I see, well, then we both have something to work on.....hehehehe......" He took her hand and gently kissed it before continuing on.

Beelzenef understood that Thera didn't understand a word he was saying so he repeated what he said, but this time in english. "Please accept my apologizes, this dumb animal was sent to capture someone else." as he indicated to the dead beast at his feet. "allow me introduce myself, i am the goblin warlord Beelzenef."

Thera raised her brow. "Beelzenef, is it?" She repeated, then smiled softly. "A case of mistaken identity I suppose. I am called Thera." She introduced herself, still smiling softly.

A puzzled expression formed on Thera's face, as she pulled her hunting knife out of the slain ogre, and clean its blade before returning it to the holster on her thigh. "I can try..but I can't say I'd be of much use with this broken wing of mine."

Tyrcestus's body was strong, very strong, stronger with these new enhancements than before.
And the magic it could draw on...
But now, the shadows had a problem.
The host had seemingly given up, curled up and died. That was a good thing.
Unfortunately, all of the memories that would be needed for this task had gone too, so now the shadows puppeting his body would have to pretend as oppose to mimic flawlessly.
It comforted itself with the knowledge that if the girl deduced his true nature... he'd simply kill her and blame it on goblins or something...

The wedding ring had stopped glowing madly, and instead was now burning harmlessly perfect crimson flames at just above it's previous intensity.
Something had changed...a gambit was in play..

"Very well, at least let my goblins take a look at your wing. They be be annoying, but they have their uses, i'm sure they'll do what they can." Beelzenef said before turning his attention to the goblins nearby and said "Tuh'd zicd cdyht drana oui vuumc, ramb uin vneaht. Cra syo oad bnuja icavim."

the surrounding goblins walked towards Thera, with the intent of helping and healing her

Thera smiled softly at Beelzenef. "Thank you for helping me, Beelzenef." She said as she bowed her head slightly.

Darkwing soared the sky. Though her last 'jaunt' had exhausted her power slightly, she thought it would be better to fly to her next 'target'...not that she had any idea of where or when that would occur.

The goblins had Thera sit on a rock so they could reach her injured wing much better (fyi goblins are short). Beelzenef sat in front of her and asked "What is someone like you doing in a place like this?"

The goblins pulled out medical supplies they 'acquired' and used it to do what they could on Thera's wing.
