He snapped back to reality, Martyris going back inside Ayase again.

He looked at Trinity.
"If Orran supplies it, it's guranteed to do only one thing - get you drunk. Taste is irrelevant..."

" let me have some of that.I haven't had a good drink in a long time...and I want to see if what oran says is true."

Sean was on deck alone, where he drew out the blade of chaos and lightly swung it around in his left hand. He then drew his regular blade, the sword of storms, out as well. he practiced dual wielding them.
These blades are perfect for each other. it's amazing...

he powered the chaos blade up first, allowing the crimson energy to flow off of it, but when he tried to use the power his regular sword, only two sparks came off of it.
What? How can this.... why isn't this sword working? did you break it?

I didn't, but If you do want to use it you have to charge my energy up, and not with your own ether. you have to charge it with pure lightning. thus the reason you can't power my sword up.
"but that's....that's...
I know, I hate it as well, but without me you lose that power and all knowlage of it. If you want to use it for a little bit, then get my dagger from Zerron....
"you can get it yourself.......

... or wait tell we retrieve the lightning sword. that should be enough. you really need to wait to hear people out...

trinity look up at ty
"i have never been drunk before, what does it feel like?"
she take s another sip of it making a funny face afterwards
"still taste awful "

"It's pretty good - right up til the hangover. THEN it sucks."
He gently took the drink off of her.
"And personally, the last thing I want is for you to get drunk."
Then he took a massive gulp and choked back a curse.
"Me on the other hand..."

He tossed the bottle to Zerron.
"By all means. Knock yourself out. That's what you'll be doing..."

Neither Junko and Steve liked the idea of sleeping on rickety wooden floor. So they dropped their bags off in a safe place below deck, and teleported off the ship in hopes of doing some quick shopping before the ship departed.

trinity looked up at ty
"so you dont want me to get drunk then? but what if i wanted to ?"

'It runs forever.' Oran rolled his eyes, and went back to steering the ship.

He looked at her, weighing up the balance between indulging her - which he loved doing - and dealing with the hangover tomorrow.
He sighed.
"If you want to, then sure. I suppose everyone needs to get drunk once - I think I'll decline though."
He smiled at her.
"Go on - get wasted then. I'll make sure you don't do anything..."
He paused as his imagination surprised him.
"...untoward..." he finished...

trinity smiled at ty
"i dont have to, it doesnt taste all the greatest anyways"
she looked up at the sky
"it looks like a storm is coming "

"Fair enough."
He looked up at the sky too.
"Don't worry - Orran's sailed through more storms than I can count, and I was there for most of them."

Then he went oddly quiet, eyes on the darkening sky.
Then he began to sing, softly, sadly, almost mournfully under his breath, watching the darkening clouds tumble and roil across the sky.

"If the nightmare comes when I sleep,

He seemed lost in some sort of trance, still singing softly.
"If I wake up, and you hold me, in, your arms still,
Will, you, keep me, there,
Because, I, will..."

trinity walked over to him and hugged him
"is that a song you just made up or an actual song from something"
she looked up at him
"i will always hold you close and tight"

Steve and Junko reappeared on the deck of the ship, each carrying a lumpy sack thrown over each of their shoulders.

His eyes closed at her touch, though he didn't stop singing.
"If I had the cloths, of hea-ven, I'd lay them at your feet.
But as I don't, I'll have to lay, the carpet of my dreams."
He looked at her, eyes opening again.
"Be careful when you walk, my lady, your soul so pure and clea-ean..."
He kissed her gently.
"For... you walk... upon... my dreams."
He smiled at her.
"Sorry. I sing when I'm sad..."

she hugged him tighter
"why are you sad? there shouldnt be a reason for you to be sad"

He held her close, and didn't say anything for a while.
When he did speak, he spoke in a whisper, meant for only them to hear.

"I feel different, Trinity," he whispered softly. "Not a good different. Before, if you asked me to do something, I'd do it in a heartbeat, and be glad to. But now... now, I feel cold. I love you more than anything, and I would never conceive leaving you. But I feel cold inside and out, and it's like I can't feel anything any more. Just love, and anger, and this... this coldness, this sadness. I can't feel happy, I've tried and I've tried. It's like my only purpose now, is to protect and love you. Before all this, I meant that in jest, but now..."

He kissed the top of her head.
"I don't like the way I can imagine killing everyone on this boat if you even hinted that their deaths would please you..."
