The Light vanished, and the one standing near the blade now was a familiar face, standing near the blade, was Mercy, Serenity mother.

Grey looked to Mercy and smiled, "Hey Serenity, your mother's here.........."

The two beings squared off.
"And what the hell do you mean by "present perils?"

In response, Friend looked at Inferno and pulled something out of his hair and tossed it to him.
It was a strand of silver-grey hair.

Inferno looked up at Inferno after looking at the hair.
"You're... getting old?!"

"Impossibly, yes. It seems that somehow, despite the universe not showing any potential signs of heat death or arcane apocalypse, I am, as you mortals put it, dying."

But how? You're the Constant, you can't die - not like this for no reason!"

"Oh, but there is a reason. You have to think to work it out - what could possibly be the reason for the Constant dying but the universe not...?"

Mawthrough moved one hand up her body, brushing the flesh.
With the other, he moved it silently down her body so the first thing she knew of it was a sudden yet gentle massage of her thighs while his other hand worked to loosen the tension built up in her upper muscles, making sure she was fully relaxed and enjoying herself.
"Does this...please you? My queen?" he asked softly...

serenity smiled upon her mothers appearance, she wrapped her arms embracing her mother
"oh mother how i missed you"
she held her tightly
"but how are you able to be here?"


chastity smiled
"yes it does my king, it feels wonderful and relaxing"
she kept her eyes closed enjoying the massage she was receiving by him

Cereza's ears twitched, as she turned her head to look at Kye. "Yes." She said.

Nijuu's softly glowing mark vanished from beneath her feet, as she turned to Tynan, was no longer in wolf form, and handed him her cloak.
Tynan put on Nijuu's cloak, and nodded his head once. "That was much better then I had expected."
Nijuu smiled softly. "Good." She said...then as she took a step forward, it was like her energy left her body, and she fell forward.
Tynan reached forward, and caught Nijuu in his arm, then pulled her close to him. "I saw that coming." He whispered.

Mercy smiled, "The heavens are a bit more free now....though I was pretty badly injured in the battle.....Occidio.....his death sparked something in the heavens........and it led to us being granted more freedom my daughter......" She held her close, not wanting to let go of her child ever again.

Grey slowly stood up, and walked toward the lifeblade, though his presence was repelled by it.

Kye spoke to Cereza, "So, a quick question, are you unable to go back to your people until you have someone who is partial to fire dire blood?"

Cereza turned to Kye and folded her arms. "I could go back at any point." She replied flatly. "A better question would be, would I want to go back if I failed in my appointed task."

Kye started thinking for a moment, then smiled. "Alright, fair enough."

He hated it when she fought. Hated it and loved it.

Loved it because it showed she would always fight beside him, where they could protect each other, prove nothing in reality could tear them apart.
Hated it because when she got hurt he felt like dying inside.

He kissed her neck as he stroked her, not ceasing his movements until she was completely relaxed in his embrace.
"All you did for me... on the battlefield..." he said softly in her ear.
"Thank you... my love..."

A mere thought and the duvet came over them, leaving them entwined in each other's arms in the bed.
"What do you think, Chastity, when you look into my eyes?" he asked gently, tilting their heads so they were looking deep into the other's soul or lack thereof....

Cereza raised her brow slightly. "Why do you ask?" She asked.

Kye smiled, "No reason.......just heard an old story about the Lifeblade from Occidio......about how it could change one's very genetic makeup.......change their race.......and such.........."

Cereza tilted her head slightly. "And you wanted to change your race?" She asked, as her ears twitched.

Kye shrugged, "Well, I was never fond of the hellhound within me, and I'd have the will to control it better than most.......that way you could go home............"

Cereza unfolded her arms and walked over to her damaged sword and picked it up. "I could go home. But I won't." She said, as she turned back to Kye. "Being the next in line to be Alpha after my mother passes, I will not go back to my pack having failed in my appointed task." She pointed out. "My mother knows this."

Kye smiled, "And if I were to change my genetic makeup, to that of a Fire Dire hybrid, would that mean you could go home?"

Cereza nodded her head. "It would." She replied.

Kye began to walk toward Mercy and stopped in front of her. "Maam.......I hear you might be able to......use the Lifeblade to help me.......umm.....uh......"

Mercy let go of her daughter, then took ahold of the Lifeblade with ease. "Well, I suppose I could, before it has to be separate permanently.......so, what would you like done, I'm not resurrecting anyone with it.....that is a fool's errand.......but....if you have a scar, or injury that needs removed, I can fix it with this......"

Kye spoke calmly, then explained his situation to her, and she nodded, placing the Lifeblade upon his shoulder, Mercy sent into his body, a wave of transformational energies, which burned away the beast within, and replaced it with something else. The ever burning fire in his soul, was ignited further, as the dire blood ran through his veins. He remained still for several minutes.

Cereza's eyes dilated, as her white ears perked forward in awe. She could smell the change in Kye's blood, and her pupil's dilated further.

Kye slowly reached his feet, the muscles under his skin seemingly moving, he approached Cereza, until stopping right in front of her. Looking up, his eyes had changed, for they were now letting off a slight, orange glow, and his skin radiating a more powerful flame presence. "So, what do you think?"

Cereza folded her arms, as her eyes moved from his face to his feet, and back again. "Impressive." She commented.

Kye smiled, "I'm glad you think so....though, I won't really know until I test out these new abilities......hmm.....I'm wondering if the power will be any different than that of a hellhound.......hmm..........."

Cereza tilted her head slightly. "Well, I guess we will soon find out." She said, as she smiled.

Kye nodded, "So, what happens now?"

Cereza unfolded her arms. "Well, first I need to get my swords fixed." She said. "Then we shall go back to my pack."

Kye grinned, "Well, my mother so happens to have taught me a great deal about sword smithing, hehehehe, what kind of metal is it made of?"

Cereza shrugged her shoulders. "We don't know." She said. "They belonged to my great-great grandmother....who's long since dead."
