Zaila followed her housecarl closely, since he put up a big fuss about her running off during the hunt. Though she was not too happy about doing so. She knew one day her father's hold would find out what she really could do.
Zaila paused, and stared up at the sky through the trees, gripping the reins to her white horse tightly, as her eyes began to water slightly. 'What will happen?' She thought to herself.
Suddenly, she caught the scent of blood on the air....it smelled fresh....and human. She could not just ignore this. She quickly transformed into her half human form, and lept off her horse- knowing that it would not cause a fuss for her leaving its saddle- and into the trees. She spent through the branches for a short time, until she knew she was out of sight of her father's hunting party...more specifically, her housecarl...then lept to the ground, transforming into her full animal form of a fox.

Arriving at his cart Peter grabbed the front bar of his wooden cart and followed his marks back to his kill and loaded it onto his cart. Pulling it to a trail and starting along his way he pulled his brown cloak over himself and kept walking with his head down.

Zaila stared at the unusual creatures looking at her like she was dinner. She growled lowly, warning the creatures not to approach any closer. As she did so, she puffed out her fur to make herself seem larger than she really was. Her eyes scanned the area carefully. 'Dead bodies....possibly human....' Zaila thought to herself. 'Merchants maybe...' Suddenly she focused on the largest of the creatures, and snarled. 'This is still my father's hold...I can't let this go unpunished...'

Zaila snapped and barked at the approaching creatures. She jumped backwards, and when she landed, she transformed into her half human form. Her ears still flattened, and her tail still puffed out. As she rose to her feet, she grabbed a nearby branch, realizing that she had left her bow with her horse.
'Stupid.' Zaila thought to herself.

Zaila growled lowly, and swung the branch, knocking over a few of the creatures that were surrounding her. Realizing that it would be too much for her to wield the branch as a weapon for long, she took this opportunity to run back to her horse for her bow. She lept into the trees, and headed back for her horse.
'Stupid....stupid...' Zaila thought to herself. 'Asher's going to be furious with me.'

Tyrcestus just accepted it was going to be that kind of day, and simply shrugged.
"Really, it doesn't matter to me. Just don't stand there naked or else I'm going to start... er..."

The shop door banged open, and the sound of someone sobbing flooded the room.
That, and the smell of blood was tangy on the air.
Instantly, Tyrcestus hurtled out of the room downstairs, still shirtless, not saying a word to Trinity...

Zaila rushed back to her horse as fast as she could....luckily for her, she had not yet been noticed that she was missing, and her horse remained where she had left it. She quickly grabbed her bow, and quiver, then followed the unusual creature's scents back...though it appeared that they were leaving. Angered, she stood on the branch and fired an arrow towards what appeared to be the leader, and the largest of the creatures.
"As heir to this hold, I can't let you leave here with the scent of the dead upon you." Zaila declared from the branch she was standing on.

The expression dropped off Zaila's face, as she tilted her head slightly....her blank expression revealed her confusion. 'Great.' She thought to herself. 'I start a fight, and I don't even understand what my enemy is saying to me.'
Suddenly, Zaila's ears twitched. She turned her head away from the group before her....now really pissed off at her....to the sound of her housecarl now calling out for her.
'Stupid.' Zaila thought to herself, then looked at the group. She tilted her head slightly, then lept up the tree, firing arrows to any creature that approached too closely.

"ZAILA!!!!!" Zaila heard her housecarl approaching closer.
'Damnit.' Zaila thought to herself. 'Now I know how a bear feels when it gets stuck up a tree.'

"Zaila...I'm tired of this game!" Zaila's housecarl called. "Zaila!" He called again. "Damnit Zaila!"
Zaila snarled lowly, and found away to leap from the tree she was on, to an adjacent tree. Once in the adjacent tree, she transformed into her human form, and continued to leap from tree to tree. As long as her housecarl, and the hunting party were out looking for her, she could not fight the creatures. If her housecarl, or the hunting party got too close to the fight, someone else would be hurt, or killed....she could not risk it. Instead...a retreat was in order.
"ZAILA!!!!" Came an irritated shout from her housecarl.

Zaila landed on the ground, in front of her housecarl.
"Damnit!" The housecarl fell back on his behind. "Why do you keep doing that?" He demanded out of frustration.
"I just do....come on." Zaila replied hastily, as she pulled her housecarl up off the ground. "It's not safe here.....we should go....now." She ordered.
"What?!" A puzzled expression formed on the housecarl's face. "What do you mean 'not safe'?"
"I smell blood...that kind of not safe." Zaila replied in annoyance. "Let's go." She ordered again, as she turned her housecarl around, and began pushing him away from the scene. 'Hopefully, they won't follow.'

Zaila kept pushing her housecarl away...mildly frustrated that she could not hear what was going on around her. 'Damn this human hearing.' She thought to herself.
"Seriously, Zaila....what's so bad that we need to leave?" Her housecarl demanded, as Zaila pushed him.
"It's hard to explain..." Zaila replied promptly. 'Since I don't even know what happened.' She thought to herself. "All I know is that it's not safe here for humans."

Zaila pushed her housecarl to the ground. "Get down." She shouted, as she grabbed her bow, and an arrow from her quiver. 'Damn...I only have two left.' She thought to herself.
