As he tore at the barrier, a large column of light slammed into his.
Kaiden right hand was up, crackling with power.
'Simple minded fool.'

The portion of Revlon's body hit by the attack was blasted off, however, flame coming off of his helmet seeped onto the wound and formed into flesh before long. At this time, Revlon called forth a storm of hellfire around the two, hiding him from sight, as his body vanished into the flames.

"And that would be the option to choose?" Amalia folded her arms, and raised her brow slightly. "I doubt it's as simple as that." She pointed out. "From where I stand, choice is an illusion. You are told you have two paths before you and that you can choose between the two. On the left, you live, on the right, you die....even though you think you've been given a choice, nine times out of ten the person whom is telling you that you have a choice, already knows what your supposed choice will be...all else is merely a matter of persuasion."

Shrike shook his head, "No, I wasn't born with that luxury. The Grimm gets one thing that the others do not. I can stand in the sunlight without burning to ash. That's it. Other than the reactive armor, and my scythes, that's my one perk." He tried to relax his body as he walked into the doors, "Wanna come inside?"

"That's it?! You can get a tan." Amalia chuckled softly. "And here I thought it would be something more interesting." She added, with another chuckle, as she walked towards Shirke. "I have no where else better to be."

Kaiden raised his forearm, so his hand pointed at the sky. He made a circular motion with his hand, creating a huge blast of wind that repelled the flames.

Shrike looked to Amalia, then looked away, disgusted at her lack of compassion, continuing to walk.

Revlon appeared out of the flame behind Kaiden, and sent his fist through the barrier. Next, at close range, he let loose a plume of fire at point blank range from his mouth.

Kaiden became dust in the face of the flames, only to reappear 50 metres away.
'Persist. A good quality, wasted on you.'
He raised his hands in a swift manner, causing pillars of lava to blast through the ground and strike Revlon's body, covering him in it.

Amalia realized that her sad attempt at joking might have offended Shrike. "I'm sorry." She said, as she followed him inside the building. "I was trying to lighten the mood...very poorly I might add. I've been on my own for almost two years, I guess my lack of social graces is very transparent."

Revlon's body became fire as soon as the lava touched him, allowing him to close the distance rapidly between them.  Dageroth was quietly watching this fight, observing Revlon fighting someone with an advantage over him.  "Should be quite entertaining."  Changing back into his beast form in mid flight, Revlon slashed towards Kaiden's waist, and his neck.

Shrike stopped in his tracks, and replied without turning back to her, "Its fine, I'm just guessing you've never seen a child hood friend's eyes burst from their head because they looked up at the sun for too long without protection."

He clenched his hands into fists. As he did, the lava over the beast's body solidified, encasing him completely. Kaiden stepped put his hand out, seemingly catching the creature in it, before green energy began crawling over his arm.

Mawthrough rolled his eyes.
If I didn't know her better, I'd swear she did that on purpose.
He didn't respond, instead stroking her hair, wondering if he should say what she wanted to hear. But he knew that saying a lie would only make her sadder.
And then he knew exactly what to say, and sighed, knowing she was still asleep. "I wish I loved you. I really do."

Inferno grumbled a little.
"Self-restraint... stuck-up... lousy... angel of death..."
He sank into his chair again, and looked into the fire.
"What's that you reading?"

Amalia ceased her movement. "Look...I really don't know what else to say." She paused, as she took a few steps back. "Perhaps coming her was a mistake." She said, as she stepped outside and spread her wings, taking to the air.

Before Kaiden could continue, Lelonia shot out of the shadow below him, and pressed her pistol up below his jaw, "Not another move!"

Revlon's body heated up, and as it did, his arms broke right on through the lava around him, the strength of the lead hellhound shown here. "Lelonia, move, this is my fight, I don't want you spoiling it!!!!"  Lelonia stepped away from the esper, and vanished into a beam of light, her hair pitch black at the moment.

Ezekiel didn't look up at his brother as he answered, "You wouldn't be interested in this journal, its my sons recorded lives.  There's nothing you could ever say, that could cause me more pain, than from what I've read in this journal."  He flipped a page, careful not to let it be destroyed as he did.

Shrike stopped, and simply said, "Come on, I'm sorry for exploding at you.......its not your fault....."

Amalia turned in mid-air and looked down at Shirke. "You're wrong. It is my fault." She stated flatly. "I don't belong here...you know that...it's my fault for believing I could." She added, then turned and took off.

He sighed, his sword bisecting another of the attackers.
'Pretty please with sugar on top?'

A pulse of energy fired through Revlon's body, and Kaiden stepped away.
'Foolish beyond comprehension.' Holding his hands, palms up, out to his side, dark orbs became to appear around him numbering in the hundreds.

Mawthrough took her from the tub, carrying her to her bed.
Before long he had her tucked up, the blankets concealing her gorgeous frame.
"I'll be here all night. Is there anything else you want me to do?"

Inferno sighed.
"I never want to hurt you, brother. You have suffered far more than enough."
He looked up at the ceiling, trying to get his mind off the past and onto the future.
"Do you think Michael will come after us?"

As the orbs surrounded Revlon's body, he grinned, "Now Dag!!!" Several rods shot from the ground, Lelonia jumping back as soon as they did.  Revlon grabbed ahold of his enemy, as the rods began to electrify the both of them, nullifying all powers within the contained area, which temporarily left Revlon as a mortal, but his opponents was in the same boat for at least an hour.  The magics within the shock area of the rods were immediately dispersed.

Dageroth spoke aloud in the distance, "Its amazing what you can do when other people are in your backyard."

Ezekiel turned a page, "Oh yes, he'll be coming after us. I intend to draw him away. I don't wish to endanger you or your daughter."

Shrike vanished, appearing behind Amalia a moment later. He placed his hand on her shoulder to stop her, saying, "No one deserves to be alone. No one. Please, there are good people here, people who understand what your going through. A great deal of the knights here are orphans, their families having been slaughtered by Dageroth and his group. There's nothing wrong with being around others.

Amalia, slightly startled that Shirke actually followed her, sighed heavily. All others would have, and have had, let her go on her way. This was new to her, someone actually trying to get her to stay. "Fine." She said after a few moments of contemplation. "I'll stay...for now."

Shrike saw a pain in her like that of many of his brethren, and wished to help her restore at least a bit of happiness to her life. "Alright, first things first, gotta find a place to put your stuff, you can take one of the random rooms in this place, or set your stuff down in my room. I'm never in it, but then again, no one wants to hang out with a teacher." He picked up a PDA, looking for a room for her in the academy.
