Kanna sat there, eyes wide, her body shaking in fear as she stared up at where Sytry had been. She didn't move, couldn't move. The man who had killed her parents. The one who's fault it was that she had lost everything. Because of him her father's rivals had been more than eager to take her in and turn her into something sub human. Who enjoyed the destruction of flesh. Others or her own. They made her into a weapon and a plaything, nothing more. Until she had escaped, planning on tearing the whole organization that had made her in the first place to the ground and then burning it all to ashes.

And now she was too scared to move. She wanted to hate Sytry but she couldn't for some reason. Her hatred had long ago burned out and been replaced with nothing but sadness and disgust. She had been acting on the ghost of that emotion and now without it she had nothing to do.

Pulling her knees to her chest she hugged herself and began to cry.

"No."
Sytry turned away.
"You take the truck. I'm going after the sword, alone. Seems nobody else wants to come with."
He looked back at Kanna.
"I'm sorry, kid. I really am."
Then he walked past the truck and into the forest beyond.
"Anyone still wants this thing, I'll be at the airport until tomorrow afternoon. They won't come after you, it's me and the info they want. You'll all be safe. Yoshi, type in 6849 three times into any ATM, it will give you your fee. Kanna, same deal."
He didn't look back.
"I hope you all do something worthwhile with your lives."
Then he walked away.

Nephilim heard yelling from the warehouse. Then saw a man walk outside. Instead of leaving he began to walk towards the place. He heard a very vague cry. Barely audible, he was seconds away from crossing paths with Sytry, Though clearly not looking for a fight he was cautious. A friendly "Hello" was said from Nephilim. As he continued walking.

"Something happened. I wonder what?" was the only words he could think of. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out another cigarette. Caressed it, and continued.

After grieving for a while over the loss of his former friend, Terios sat on the ground for a while in silence. It seemed like a million thoughts were racing through his head at once. He finally decided that one thought was more important than the rest: "what should we do now?" He got up, wiped his eyes and turned towards Yoshiko.
"You know, I'll take you up on that offer. I'd like a ride to the airport if that's alright with you."
Understandably, the others turned towards him with shocked looks on their faces. He turned back towards them and grinned.
"I know what you're thinking. You think that they must have knocked something loose when they had me captured, right? But hear me out on this. No matter what else Sytry has done, he's still one of us...and he's right about one thing. If it weren't for him, some of us might not be standing here right now. I don't think I could live with myself if I let him go off on his own and get himself killed on some crazy suicide mission. I'm going after him. Of course, all of you are free to do whatever you want, but if you want to tag along then I'd be more than happy to have you. Your choice. Besides..."
He turned towards Krystal.
"...We still need to find that Hero's Sword, right?"


Jaden looked down in thought for a while. He finally spoke up, although a little hesitantly.
"Yeah, I guess you're right, we definitely owe him one. And I don't know about you, but I wanna ask him a few things like why he was freaking out the way he did. I just know that there's gotta be something more to it."
He smiled at Terios and stepped forward a few paces.
"I'm in, all the way. It'll be just like the old days! The two of us on some crazy mission with awesome stuff happening all around us. How could I turn that down?"

Kanna pulled herself to her feet. Tears were still rolling down her cheeks and she made quiet choking noises but the worst had seemed to pass. Right now though she didn't want to be alone. Couldn't be alone. "W...Wait." She said to the others. "I'm... sniff... I'm coming too. Please?" She looked at them through blurry eyes. She would go with them. Maybe to the airport where her and Sytry could talk. He'd tell her why he killed her parents and she'd ask him to help her destroy Mythic Division. Or maybe she'd simply ask to get dropped off somewhere. She didn't know right now. Once she had finished wallowing in her self pity she could think clearly again. But right now she did not want to be alone.

sylvia had grown faint during the whole ordeal so she kept her back turned and her breathing stable to prevent nausea from taking over.After everything was over she finally stood up. Keeping her eyes away from the body as she walked out of the warehouse. She noticed Sytry off in a distance
"That SOB still has my gun"
Even tho she didnt want to she had to follow him and get her gun back
'if that falls into the wrong hands itll fall back on me'
she thought as she started sprinting towards him
"HEY STOP!!"

After making back to base Douglas explained everything that happened and the disbanding of the merc group. A select few said they'd stay with Douglas while the rest, Kyle included, left the group. Douglas couldn't get everything that happened out of his head and the more he thought about it the more he hated him. One of Douglas' men came in and told him about where Sytry could be going. "The Hero's Sword? That's just a myth right?" Douglas sat there in thought for a while. What if this sword is real though... I have to get it before Sytry does. After thinking on it douglas got up and prepared his men to move. They're new objective: Getting the sword before Sytry and killing him.

Jaden and Terios readied their weapons and looked back at their pursuers. Then they glanced at each other and nodded -- the only signal they needed to know what to do.
Jaden turned himself towards the back of the truck and pointed his gun at the vehicle behind them.
"Time to make it rain!!!"
He let out a yell and opened fire, full-auto. He didn't care much about accuracy, he just fired in their general direction to create a distraction for Terios; though to his credit he did get dangerously close to hitting his targets.
Terios watched carefully for any opportunity he could get. When the enemy vehicle swerved directly behind them, he took his chance. He pulled the pin on a grenade and held on to it for a full second. He then threw it out what used to be the back window towards the other vehicle. It flew into the air and then bounced off of the ground.
"Go ahead and reload, Jaden! I've got it from here!"
Jaden sat back down in his seat and reloaded his weapon while Terios opened fire with his own sub-machine gun. The grenade hurtled right towards its intended target. The grenade exploded right in front of the other vehicle, causing it to swerve off course. Terios looked over to where Hikaru was sitting.
"That won't stop them for long. Hikaru, are you almost ready?"

Sytry had taken a different route to the airport, a far more annoying one where he was stuck in traffic for ages, because of his intent to avoid exact situation that, unbeknownst to him, was befalling his friends.
If he could call them friends.
However, as he sat in the eighth traffic jam he'd been in for an hour, he heard something move in the trunk of the vehicle he'd... commandeered. Gun surreptitiously drawn, he got out of the car - not exactly odd, considering the traffic was almost a mile long and at a complete standstill, and opened the trunk.
"...Sylvia, what on earth are you doing in the trunk?"

OOT: I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Krystal and Kanna are in the truck with us.

Jaden smashed the window on his side of the truck with his gun and aimed at the truck that was coming towards them.
"I've got this one!"
He waited until the other truck was close to them so he could get a clear shot. At that point, he shot all three people in the other truck in rapid succession. With no driver to steer it, the other vehicle veered away and fell off the cliff.

Terios looked around and saw another truck coming towards them.
"Krystal, mind if I borrow this?"
Without waiting for a response, he picked up Krystal's railgun and aimed it at the oncoming vehicle. With a single, well-placed shot to the engine, the other vehicle exploded into a ball of flame. He gave his weapon back to its proper owner and turned towards Hikaru.
"What's it looking like now?"
He asked her since she had a sniper's scope to look through.

OOT: The truck was fired on right? Not just "Oh shit there's people with an RPG." But actually firing at it?
Kanna was curled up on the floor of the truck trying to stop the blood coming from her gut and leg. She lay there whimpering softly in pain as around her the battle unfolded. Unnoticed there under the seat she just wanted the pain to stop.

OOT: Poor Hikaru.   We shall ride into glorious battle to avenge your death!

Terios looked on in horror as Hikaru fell from the truck. He gritted his teeth, but he couldn't show any signs of weakness since they were still being followed. He looked around and saw a clearing coming up on the right. He also saw that Kanna was injured and needed first aid as soon as possible, making his decision even easier.
"Jaden! Pull over into that clearing...we're done running away."
Jaden fought back the tears that were trying to form in his eyes.
"Yeah...let's finish this!"
He swerved hard to the right, sliding across the ground and turning the truck around a full 180 degrees. When Jaden stopped the car, he got out along with Terios, Krystal and Yoshiko, guns ready.
Terios called out to the group.
"This one's for Hikaru...weapons free!"
Everyone opened fire on the oncoming vehicles and their occupants, gunning them down in a hail of bullets as they tried to approach. When one truck came barreling right towards them, Jaden threw a grenade in front of them which exploded just as they were getting a little too close for comfort, stopping them in their tracks. Terios took this opportunity to jump on top of the hood of the enemy's truck and fire directly into it, killing its driver and passenger. From his new vantage point, he could see one last jeep approaching with a passenger carrying an RPG. Terios' eyes widened as the thought to himself.
"We can't let them hit our truck, Kanna's still in there!"
He turned back to the others and called out.
"Cover me, we've got an RPG incoming!"
Jaden and the others fired on the incoming jeep while Terios ran up to get a better shot. When he got close enough, Terios threw a grenade over the windshield and into the jeep, then he rolled to the side to get out of the way. Just as he did, the jeep exploded into a ball of fire. Terios called out to the rest of the group as he ran towards their truck.
"That's the last of them for now, let's get moving before we have to do this all over again! Jaden, you drive!"

Sylvia climbed out of the trunk straightening her shirt she looked at the gun
"Im assuming that is mine?"
she looked up at Sytry
"I would like my gun back please"

"With all due respect, ma'am, I need this gun."
Sytry opened the door of the car he had acquired and gestured for her to get in. "At least for now. You are welcome to come with me if you wish to assure the gun's safe return to you."

She crossed her arms
"No i need it now..you dont understand"
She sighed
"The gun its mine, but it isnt..its a company weapon and if it falls in the wrong hands I can be in serious trouble"
she looked in the door then back at him not moving
"And judging by whats went on in that warehouse i cannot allow you to take my gun"

Sytry sighed.

Thuck.

When Sylvia woke up, country rock was blasting on the radio, and Sytry was humming along to Johnny Cash. She was lying across the back seat of Sytry's car, her hands cuffed together, and her legs also bound by strips of fabric. Her jaw also hurt a lot.
"...because you're mine...I walk the line..." Sytry sang under his breath, as the traffic started moving again.

OOT: Oh boy.... who's the villain again?   


Douglas rounded up his men and got them equipped. "The intel we gathered says that the sword is somewhere around here." Douglas said pointing at a map of the area. "If was leave now we may reach it before Sytry does. Are there any questions? No? Good. We move out in an hour."


Kyle was following behind Yoshiki's group when they were under attack by some strange group. "Shit!" Saying that Kyle pulled his car over and ran into the forested area near by. Kyle pulled his sniper out and began firing on the attackers managing to kill a few of them in the process.

Sylvia slowly started to come to. Moaning in pain. She tried to move her hands but they were bound together by handcuffs and her legs were bound together. she was too groggy to put up a fight. The sound of the johnny cash music echoed loudly in her head making her head pound even more. She groaned again from the pain

Sytry turned off the music, hearing her groans.
"Congratulations. You may be the first person I've ever knocked out more than once. Nerve strike. If you want, I'll teach you how."
He looked in the back at her.
"And I wasn't perverted at all this time."
He returned his gaze to the road ahead. "The pain won't last very long. No lasting damage. If anything, you should be thanking me."

"Thanking you for what?"
she got up enough strength to swing her legs together to kick the back of his seat witch enough force to shift him forward
"Let me out of here asshole"
