"Well then."
The man turned and looked out of his office window.
"Sign yourself on. You're heading out with the next squad. On combat duty."

Kint's voice now sounded like it was coming from everywhere.
"Do we have a deal, or what?"

Vivian stepped forward in protest
"C-combat duty..but sir I can't"
she took his question earlier in a different context then what he mean and as now regretting her answer
"Why send me out for combat when you have all your men to go. Sir I'm not trained to be in combat, I'm only trained to make the calls"

"Are you sure we should just give him the files? What's to stop him from killing us even if we hand him them?"

"I'm aware of that. But the target we're after can kill trained soldiers in the blink of an eye. We need someone who has no real training, no real grip of military tactics." A smile.
"He wouldn't be able to see it coming."

Kint's voice sounded like it was coming from the ocean lapping at the hull of the boat.
"What's to stop you all from killing me right now? So far, the only thing I've got on my side is a rocket launcher - which I can't use without condemning myself to a watery grave along with the rest of you - and the fact that if this game continues, there won't be many of you left to negotiate with."
A pause.
"I take it you value your lives, and those of your comrades, more than a few measly notes."

Steam laughed. It was a dry, humourless sound. "A watery grave. I like the sound of that. I've always loved the ocean. If you want the files they are inside the ship, the quarters farthest to the stern. I have them in a briefcase. Feel free to take them." He said, calling out to Kint.
"Douglas," he said softly so only Rin and the other man could hear him. "He is going to sink this ship. We will use the boat you and your men used to get here. We will evacuate them as quickly as possible before the ship goes down completely. Understood?"

Vivian raised a brow
"So then you want me to go in as a spy, is that what your saying?"
She thought for a moment
"What exactly is it you want me to do then?"

There was a humorless laugh, this time coming in from starboard.
"Do you take me for a fool? I'm just going to waltz in there, am I? Everyone off the boat if you want to live, now."

"Don't worry about it, you'll know what you've gotta do."
He didn't look back at her.
"Now go. You're moving out to secure his position, he's been recovered by one of our agents and you'll be posted there to ensure he doesn't escape."

Rin looked at Steampunk. "There's an injured man in the cabin." She whispered. "What should we do about him?" She asked in the same whispered tone.

Steam didn't have any look of emotion on his neutral face. "We will all jump over board. When the ship is sinking we will save anyone we can before it goes completely under. Then we will figure out what to do from there. He only has one grenade. I deactivated all of the others." He said, the lie made him want to grin but the possibility of the man seeing it kept his face set.

There was an audible click, then a chuckle.
"I am nothing if not polite. I arrived on your boat in a dinghy, which if you proceed to the east of your boat you will find. Anyone who remains on this will remain as a hostage. You have thirty seconds. I'd start moving."

"That is, of course, up to you, Vivian. I mean, seeing as you "know what you're doing," he lightly mocked before turning to the window. "Come on, chop chop."

Vivian's mouth gaped open then she quickly shut
"That wasn't what I meant"
she shook her head and walked out of the door. Headed to her office slamming to door behind her
"How the hell am i supposed to go out on the field and be expected to know what to do"
she groaned then headed over to her desk to gather her things before heading out locking her office. Then headed down to the group she is supposed to meet

Rin looked at Steampunk and Douglas. "That seems like our best bet." She said to them. "I have to go back to the cabin anyway, if you don't mind, I'd like to take one of your men with me...between the two of us, we can get the injured man off this boat. Sound good?" She asked.
