Semira raised a brow at Maraud then rolled her eyes
"Men "
she sighed then pointed her staff towards the demons letting out another blast shooting several of them in the air



Amelia slowly opened her eyes looking up at the angel
"A-am I dead?"
she said weakly before closing her eyes and drifting to sleep

Cryth raced over to her and grabbed her, checking her vitals.
A demon the size of a house lumbered over, and Cryth dropped it with a fierce magically-infused glare.
"Is she OK? I'm not a doctor, do you think she's alright?" he said, anxiously.

Rail nodded uncertainly. 2014. It's been a long time.
"Wow. The Gray were right to want to study humans. If they could go from being nothing but mindless ape things to a civilization this advanced in 2014 days. Simply astonishing." Noise said with a grudging respect in her voice.

Just as Decoda was about to say something, she felt the presence of both angels and demons approaching on their location. Unsure if they were going to attack them, or if they would just fly over head, she turned to Tybalt. "Do you feel that?" She asked him. "It's not safe here. We should go." She added.

Tybalt nodded back at Decoda.
"Better safe than sorry, as they say. They attacked us last time just because they both thought we were working with the other side...imagine what they'll think now that we have an angel and a demon hanging around."
He turned back to Rail and Noise with a smile.
"Speaking of, you're coming with us, right? Choose quickly, we need to get moving!"
His voice had a sense of urgency, but it also sounded like he might be having some fun, too.


Sauriel took another look at Amelia to make sure.
"She's unconscious, but she doesn't seem to have any serious wounds. You seem capable enough. Would you mind watching out for her while I head back into the fray?"
He took a defensive stance in front of her, waiting for a reply from the young man.

Cryth grabbed Amelia up and dragged her to an alcove, feeling weaker and weaker as he dropped more and more demons with his power.
"Come on... wake up..."

Maraud performed a playful pirouette off of a gigantic monster that collapsed backwards, squashing over fifty of it's comrades flat, and landing with a perfect bow in front of Semira.
"You know," he said, wiping the blood from his lips, "I think I might still have it."

Semira smirked
"Not bad for an old vamp like yourself"
she raised her staff and another blast
"this is easier then I thought it would be, im assuming these are lower ranked demons compared to myself and some of the other demons Lucifer has"



Amelia slowly opened her eyes and looked up at her brother, then looked around
"Where are we brother...what happened"
for a moment she completely forgot the reason they are there. She had passed out from using her ability, something she doesnt know how to control or use. Using it exhausted her considering she had frozen the ground beneath them

"We should probably find Mother." Noise suggested to Rail who nodded. "These people seem to know more about this place than we do. Maybe they can help us find her?"
Rail shrugged in response. It would be worth a shot. But we don't know who they might be fighting. Rail tried to convey this with hand gestures but failed.
"Okay!" Noise said turning to Tybalt and Decoda again. "We'll stick with you until we find our Mother."
Rail sighed but nodded in resignation.

Decoda looked at Noise. "Then we need to fly now." She said to her, then walked over to Tybalt. "I'd like to avoid a fight with either side." She said to him, then looked at Rail. "Can you fly, Rail?"

Tybalt looked over at Rail, thinking about what Decoda said.
"You know, I hadn't even considered that. If you can't fly, then I suppose we could go on foot...although that would be a bit slow. You could get Noise to carry you, like how Decoda helps me out!"
He laughed a little, though he was a little concerned.
"I hope she can carry Rail...I could do it easily if I transformed, but I'd really rather not. Who knows what their reaction might be? Probably more trouble than it's worth."
He thought this to himself, glancing back and forth at Rail and Noise.


Seeing that Amelia was in good hands, Sauriel charged back towards the front line, slicing through quite a few demons along the way. He saw Semira who was blasting away at the demonic hordes and let out a heavy sigh.
"Semira...I thought you were supposed to be keeping a low profile."
He called down pillars of light on a group of demons nearby, annihilating them.
"You really should try to be a little more careful."

Rail flapped her wings a few times and let herself hover. Nodding in satisfaction she looked to Noise who did the same. The time spent in the void hadn't removed their skills.
"We can fly." Noise said, she shared a look with Rail. "But we don't know how far we can go. We might need to rest frequently."

Decoda summoned her weapon, and handed it to Tybalt. "Hold like like a shelf." She instructed, then wrapped her arms around Tybalt from behind, then took to the air. "Noise, Rail, grabbed an end of my weapon, and try to fly as best as you can. I should get us to the next settlement without too much trouble."

Maraud sighed, as an earth-shattering roar boomed through the air, echoed by others shortly after.
"Now why would you jinx that?"
A horde of demon elites, each clad in crimson armor and with a huge skull shield, charged through the scrum crushing their allies underfoot.
"Well done, Semira, you annoyed the gods..."

"You need to get up," Cryth said quickly. "Amelia, get up. For me, please!"

Semira shrugged
"As if I'm scared"
she laughed pointing her staff at them shooting another blast under their feet. She then looked at Sauriel
"I am keeping a low profile, staying in my human form and only doing a small amount of damage compared to what i can really do, but if you want I can just sit back and watch as the rest of you do all the work"



Amelia sat up
"Is something wrong brother?"

The monsters stepped over the blast, then kicked Semira about twenty feet into the air, soaring over the heads of the battling throng. A normal human would have been popped like a grape.
Maraud rolled his eyes.
"Aaand now I'm going to have to break a sweat."
He vanished, becoming a blur as he stormed through them, attacking and dodging with equal rapidity.

Cryth lifted her to her feet.
"Massive demon horde? Full-blown war? These ringing any bells?"

The two nodded and did as they were told. Beating their wings amid a cloud of dust the cluster of beings rose slowly into the sky.

Decoda flew as best as she could, carrying three people, she was not used to this...but she couldn't risk another attack from angels and demons.
After about an hour, Decoda's exhaustion began to show. She was slowly loosing altitude, as sweat dripped from her chin. "I can't..." she said at length, even with Noise and Rail occasionally flying along with her, she couldn't keep it up. "I have to....rest..." she continued, then fell to the earth in exhaustion.

Rail dove without a second thought and grabbed Decoda as she fell. Together they both plummeted to the ground. Rail beat her wings as hard as she could, muscles screaming in protest. It looked bad but their fall slowed until they were just barely hovering. Rail landed on a nearby rooftop and collapsed, panting hard.
Noise landed hard, legs buckling beneath her as she held Tybalt in an odd hug. She lost her grip and rolled a few feet over the rough gravel.
"We need to get inside. It's our best chance. I can shield our presences from whoever is after you." Helping Rail to her feet the young angel went to the door. A chain secures held it shut. Putting a hand on the lock she closed her eyes. Noise turned her back and put a wing in front of her sister's face. The lock flew apart with a metallic bang. The door handle soon followed. The door swung open and Noise ducked inside, pressing herself against the wall she began to work her magic. Rail turned to the others, looking to see if they needed help getting inside.

Decoda, having used all her strength to fly, attempted to drag herself towards Rail and Noise, but collapsed with each attempt.

Siren had witnessed the 'fall', and in her animalistic form, ran to see if anyone was hurt. In her current form, of a tiger, she ran towards Decoda a Tybalt. She reached Decoda first, and assisted her onto her back, then trotted over to Tybalt. From the corner of her eye she could see a demon and an angel in a small house, thinking that Decoda and Tybalt were with them, she trotted towards the house, looking back at Tybalt, urging him to follow.

Sauriel groaned and slapped his face at what just happened. He would have been worried, but he knows how tough Semira is, even in her human form.
"That. That's the reason I wanted you to keep a low profile."
He spread out his wings and took off in a burst of light, staggering the few demons who we close by. He summoned a group of light clones to head back down and deal with the demons while he flew right towards Semira. Catching her in midair, he slowly descended back towards the ground while surrounding them both in a barrier of light.
"Are you alright?"
He wanted to say something sarcastic, but he couldn't help feeling a tinge of genuine concern for her.


Tybalt stared curiously at the tiger for a moment.
"Well, this is quite fascinating. I...don't believe we've met before, but you seem like a nice tiger. Are you telling me to follow you?"
Not waiting for a response, he stood to his feet and ran towards the mysterious tiger who was carrying Decoda.
"I'm sorry, Decoda. It wasn't really fair, asking you to carry all of us like that..."

Decoda looked up at Tybalt. "It's okay." She spoke in a low tone, almost a weak whisper. "I only wish I was stronger."

Siren walked into the house, and crouched down, so Decoda could climb off her back. Decoda laid on the floor, too tired to get up, let alone move. Siren sat up, and transformed to her human form. "Of course it's fascinating." She said. "I'm a shapeshifter."

Tybalt let out a small gasp and his eyes started to sparkle.
"A shape-shifter...and a tiger, too! I've never seen anything like it..."
He got closer to her, probably a little too close.
"I've never met a shape-shifter before! Do you have any cat-like characteristics? Claws, fur...hold on, do you have a tail?"
He briefly looked behind her.
"No, doesn't seem like it."
He took a few steps back and started stroking his chin, trying to think of what to ask next.
"Let's see...oh, I almost forgot!"
He reached out for a handshake with a smile.
"Sorry about that, I'm getting way too far ahead of myself. My name's Tybalt, may I ask your name?"

Siren looked at Tybalt, with her white eyes, and tilted her head. "I can turn into any land animal." She said, and stepped back when Tybalt got too close. She looked at his hand, knowing that he wanted to shake her hand. "I'm sorry, I don't do the hand shake thing." She pulled her hood onto her head, to obscure her eyes from view. "You can call me Siren." She added, as she looked down to Decoda, then knelt down to her. "Are you okay?" She asked her.

Decoda looked at Siren. "I'm okay." She replied in the same weak tone. "Just exhausted." She closed her eyes. "I just need to rest."

"I can't believe he kicked me"
was the first thing she said when Sauriel caught her. she then looked up at Sauriel
"My hero"
she smriked
"and i am fine, I've been in worse situations and taken far worse blows then that"
she looked over at the demon monster
"Guess Lucifer had more up his sleeve then I thought"


Amelia looked around
"I forgot"
she looked up at her brother
"what happened why was i laying on the ground?"

Maraud was now barely visible, a savage black and crimson blur that seemingly drew blood wherever it touched. But it seemed he was more annoying the beasts than actually doing any proper damage, and one good swipe knocked him backwards like swatting a fly - he tumbled through a small horde of lesser demons, then tried to get up as they all hacked and slashed at him.

One of the larger monsters stomped over to where Amelia and Cryth were.
"You used your power and - LOOK OUT!"
He pushed Amelia away from him, exactly as the foot came down where she would have been. The next moment, the creature was focused on Amelia, grinning sickly through teeth the size of tombstones as it raised it's shield to squish her flat.
