He gave a slight wince as her hands caressed the wounds she'd caused at his request. They would scar, and serve as an eternal reminder of what she was wiling to do for him.

"Of course..." he whispered, and kissed her again, gently, then he kissed her again, then again, and again, making up for all the lost time he'd been trapped.
"I missed you too... I missed you so much... I never stopped thinking about you... I love you I love you I love you I love you..." he moaned between kisses, his hands sliding along her body, caressing her, enjoying her feel so much...

she closed her eyes as he caressed her body missing his touch, his feel, love, warmth, his kind words his voice
"i dont ever want to lose you again, it was horrible it hurt soo much"
she placed her blood covered hand over her heart
"it hurt right here when i thought i lost you, when you fought the demon, i didnt want to go i wanted to stay with you to help you, i even begged him tristan to bring me back to be with you, and when i tried to get to you i was attacked by those goblins again, zerron came to my aid and tried to help me get to you"
she nuzzled his chest
"i dont ever want to feel this hurt again"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
He took her blood covered hand and held it to his face, not caring about the blood, wanting her touch above all else.

"I won't ever leave you again. I'm not promising this. I'm telling you this."
His voice was deadly serious.
"I've had enough. I can't do this again. I can't stand this pain inside when I'm seeing you in pain, or crying, or even remotely upset. So I'm going to do the only thing I can do."

He stroked her back, looking intently in the eyes of the woman he loved.

"I'm going to have to stop being your husband. Stop being your lover. Stop being the man you love."

He rested his head against hers.

"I'm going to have to be your everything. Husband, lover, knight, hero, protector, shield, everything in the world. Nothing else will happen to you, I'll destroy this whole planet first. Nothing else will happen to us. I refuse. No more. NO MORE."

He cradled her gently.
"I've failed you so many times, I'm going to just stop holding back. If you get attacked by a goblin again, I'll simply incinerate their whole race. No jokes, no messing around. I've ruined your life too many times to just let it happen again. I love you too much, and I left you alone..."
He opened his eyes so she could only see them and nothing else.
"Trinity... you don't know how angry I am right now at myself... but I love you even more than I hate myself... I need you to live..."

And he did.

when he said he had to stop being her husband her heart sunk, but when he finished what he was saying she realized what he meant, she loved being cradled in his arms she nuzzled his chest
"you never failed me i told you before i could protect myself, i love you for you no matter what, i just dont ever want to lose you again, i cant bare it"

"Thank you..."
He kissed her hair as she nuzzled his chest.
Then he felt a long cold shudder steal through him.
"Did you think I stopped loving you? Even for a second? I never would have stopped, even in the ring, I never stopped. I couldn't sense what was happening properly but I sensed that you needed me. I'm sorry for all you suffered..."

He started to shake from the force of his emotions finally released after so much suppression.
"I was in so much pain away from you... I suffered because you suffered as well, I never stopped trying to resist, believe me, please, I'm sorry, I'll never leave you again..."
He was broken. But she could fix him with her love... he needed her to hold him tightly...

When he next spoke it was quiet.
"When I died... I wanted you there. I wanted you to hold my hand, tell me it was alright, tell me you loved me, and I tried reaching for you, to dance with you again, but you weren't there..."
Tears fell.
"I... wanted you there so much... I sent you away but I wanted you there..."

she thought about what he asked
"when you appeared before me in the woods but it wasnt you. the words he spoke to me were harsh and hurtful i was so confused i didnt know what to think, i thought you hated me that you didnt want to be with me"
she looked up and him and hugged him
"i never stopped loving you and i had hoped that you didnt either"
she kissed him tenderly
"i wanted to be there with you as well all i kept thinking was that you were laying on the ground all alone and cold with no one to hold you. i wanted nothing more then to be with you, to spend those last few moments with you, to hold you and tell you i was there with you, to comfort you"
she hugged him tighter
"i wanted to be with you"

He met her kiss, wanting it to never end.
When she held him he cried in her arms, letting all his anger out.

"I was so alone and afraid, and I missed you. I let him hurt you, make you think I didn't love you... WHAT HAVE I DONE... WHAT DID I DO TO YOU..."

He kissed her desperately, trying to tear away his own memories.

"I let you down, I sent you away, I was weak, I let myself be controlled... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." he wept into her arms...

she shook her head
"you didnt do anything, there was nothing you could do, please stop blaming yourself, you here now and that what matters"
she nuzzled his chest again then hear ayase speak she looked up at her and nodded then looked at ty
"how are you feeling now?"

He nodded at Ayase, then stood up still holding her.
"I'm fine as long as you tell me I'm fine..."

He looked at Ayase.
"Sorry, Ayase..."
Then he gave a chuckle for the first time since his return.
"I've missed that annoyed look on your face..."

He kissed Trinity on the lips again, then gave her a cuddle, looking at Ayase over her shoulder.
"So, what did I miss?"

trinity looked up at him
"well we were given a quest and are headed to a volcanic island called Sha'grath to retrieve a lightening sword for the king"
she looked around
"there is supposed to be a ship here with a captain but we havent quite found it"

He nodded, taking this all in.
"Well, I'm sure it'll turn up. And if you've agreed to go on this quest, then I'm going right along with you. Back into the fray."
He managed a smirk at her.

"That is, if my love doesn't mind me coming along for the ride..."

There was a sense of eyes rolling in Ayase's head.
I think I preferred it when he was controlled... all this romantic stuff... I mean, I know he hasn't seen her for a while, but all the leading questions... too cliche...

He returned Ayase's gaze and there was something different in his eyes.
Amusement, love, and the hidden anger were all still there, always would be - but there was something else now.

A kind of deathly calmness, like he could deal out death and not care a whit, readily, in a heartbeat.

It didn't seem to affect him though as he raised an eyebrow.
"How about no? I've only just, you know, regained my body and reunited with my wife, nothing special. Oh, and by the way -"

His hands flickered and then his wedding ring was firmly back on his finger where it belonged.
"That's better. Thank you for looking after this for me, and, as much as I never thought I'd say this -"
He stopped hugging Trinity and hugged her instead.
"Thank you for kicking me in the balls."

He crossed his legs, so her foot didn't connect.
He chuckled, gingerly releasing her from the hug.
"Thanks, Martyris, for all your help as well. And be thankful you don't have balls, otherwise Ayase would have removed them long ago..."

There was a pause.
You wouldn't kick me in the balls, would you? Please tell me you wouldn't...

A rather small ship pulled into port. It was ragged, it was worn, but it did what it was supposed to and that was good enough for the owner.

trinity spotted a ship coming into port
"i wonder if thats the one the king meant, should we go check it out?"

He nodded, hugging her close yet again.
"Sure... let's go..."
