He fell back, clutching his now broken wrist, glaring at Genesis.
"Don't know why you're laughing, but I'm going to stop it."
He looked down at the defeated Nusquam.
"My apologies..." he said quietly. "But better to die free than live in a cage..."

Genesis began to walk forward, the corrupted blade of life in his hands. "Do you know why this blade, is titled the 'Life Blade'?"

Nuquam clutched her wounded chest in agony, silently screaming her head off.

He tore his eyes from the wounded Nusquam, silently conveying to her through his eyes that he was more sorry than she could imagine that this had had to happen.
She reminded him of what Chastity could have been.
Genesis reminded him of Eros in the way he controlled.
And that pissed him off.

He met Genesis's eyes with a glare.
"Enlighten me."

Genesis walked over to the injured Nusqam, and instead of healing her, he sliced into her neck, and watched as the hybrid painfully twisted and turned, choking on her own blood while he looked toward Mawthough, "Because, its one of the few weapons that doesn't require any sacrifice for the restoration of life and flesh, when in the hands of an entity like myself, and, it can actually restore any life that was lost, as long as their soul is still intact, however, when in my hands, I control any life that I restore.........."

"Sorry, I got bored. But I got the overall message that you need to be put down."
He drew Regret and fired at Genesis's hand, hoping to get him to stop torturing Nusquam.
"And frankly, if that was supposed to impress me, you appear to have me mistaken for someone that gives a damn..."

Grey deflected the bullet right back into Mawthough's own flesh, then finally decapitated Nuquam. A moment later, the blade glowed, and resurrected her, good as new, though her eyes were now pitch black, and endless tears streamed down the side of her face. "Ah, she looks much better now, don't you think.....oh, and a word to the wise, you know its always smart to watch your corners right?" He looked upward, as Caelestis, darkened and corrupted, was holding up Chastity by the throat with one handed, and held her blade capable of destroying Chastity's soul in her other hand.

Ignis landed in front of Mawthough, right next to Nusquam, ready to attack.

Grey slid off the blade he was impaled by, and slowly walked toward them, his body covered in shadow.

The situation went from manageable to critical in under a second.
He staggered back as his own bullet hit him - then looked up and saw what Genesis was on about.
His mind instantly went animal - not feral, predatory.
In under a second, he'd analysed every single one of his options and come up with only two that suited his situation.
One way, he surrendered, and simply delayed the inevitable.
The other was too horrible to contemplate - but she lived which cemented it as his plan.

"Congratulations," he said flatly, anger burning through his voice.
"You appear to have me at a hefty disadvantage. Outnumbered, attacking the woman I love, very well planned. But take some good advice - let. Her. Go."
His eyes met Genesis, and they held no trace of a bluff.
"Or you will regret it. I promise."

Genesis chuckled, "No, I don't think I will, now, show me what you'll do......." At this time, a bullet passed through his head, one fired from Grey's gunblade.

"You killed Occidio......" He spoke as he slowly approached, more shadows surging from his body.

Caelestis' blade was now touching Chastity's skin. One wrong move, and it would be sent through her skull.

He pointed Regret with his remaining working wrist at Genesis.
"Last warning. Release her, or you'll wish you had."

Nusquam stepped right in front of Regret, the barrel touching her forehead, as Ignis placed his sword up against Mawthough's back. Genesis spat the bullet that Grey hit him with out onto the ground. "That was nasty, I think that had a little too much Arcanium in it." Looking to Mawthough, he grinned, "Come on, shoot me with that gun of hell, I've been reduced to ash before and I've still reformed."

Grey saw the being in the distance, and snarled toward him as his own eyes seemed to be turning red, though he struggled to keep him back, "Oblivion, no...not yet....don't even think of taking control of me........" He actually forced the entity into submission.

He looked over his shoulder at Ignis.
Then he looked back at Nusquam.
Then, finally, he looked up at Chastity.

He made his choice.

"When I said last warning, I meant it," he growled and unloaded the entire clip, destroying Nusquam's skull and sending explosive roses right at Genesis's smirking head... knowing full well the way these next few events would play out... and saying goodbye to his love...

As Nusquam's body fell, her head began to reform, and despite Genesis' head being gone from the roses, he still spoke, "Wrong move......"

At this time, Grey had been unaccounted for, and leaped into the air, slamming a leg into Caelestis, which surprisingly caught her off guard and knocked her away, though a small gash was left on Chastity's chin. Grey caught her, and landed, setting her on the ground afterward. Before he could move, his heart stopped, once again, and he fell to the ground, coughing up blood. "Dammit...not now......."

Ignis stabbed forward toward Mawthough's back while Nusquam slowly rose to her feet.

He gave a gasp.
He dropped Regret.
He fell to his knees, managing a hateful glare at Genesis.
Then a smirk, as he struggled to rise again.
"Oh... but... it's the right move... haha... stupid little power-tripping kid..."

He tried to turn his head, to see Chastity, but Nusquam was in the way.
So he focused on trying to regain his footing despite having a sword through his back...

Grey noticed the vortex, as did Genesis. "A source of true darkness............"

Genesis' head reformed as he clicked his teeth, forcing Ignis to back away from Mawthough, "It appears we have another guest.....true darkness, well, true evil is always strongest in the truest darkness..........hmm....but this may still be fun......"

Genesis began walking toward the void, the lifeblade glowing brightly, "Funny you should mention, 'All consuming'.........."

He began to tumble across the ground, and had to halt his attempts to rise to stop being pulled into the Void.
"True evil... idiot...you wouldn't know true evil if you looked into it's eyes..." he managed as he bled deeply over the tarmac...

Grey walked over to Chastity, and to prevent her from being dragged in, jammed Midnight into the ground behind her, using several straps to attach her back to it. She couldn't move away unless she was awake. He then flew forward, trying to catch up to Mawthough.

Genesis heard Mawthough's comment and grinned, "I was made from the first sin, I am the origin of evil, the only true evil in this world, all other evil is simply imitating me......."

"Nope... sin and evil, not the same. You were made from a definition..."
Mawthrough was struggling to resist the void's pull, and he was almost failing...
"Sin is people's perceptions of evil. True evil is something that everyone will recognize except you because you'll be too busy drowning in your own arrogance to realize how f*cked you are..." he coughed, spurting blood...

Genesis stopped with ease and grinned, "I was made from the essence of the first murder........that was in my opinion, the first sin, and I grow stronger from comitting murder, and making others suffer too.....its not arrogance that would describe me....its proven worth......something I should tell you....is I don't lie........and I never bluff.......unlike you....little boy.........."

Grey caught up to Mawthough and grabbed his arm, struggling to maintain his footing.
