Revan unfolds the rest of it
"ha your right you are worth enough to save well then I suggest you cover your nose and start running to me you will only have a small window before they will be able to see you again."
he says taking out a strange looking device
"they call this a smoke bomb with an added bonus of some fowl smelling objects it will keep the hounds off you till we get away now start running"
He says tossing the device in the air as it activates a thick cloud surronds the entire area along with a horrendous stench that makes the hellhounds yelp back."

He took the gem from her hand and held it to his eye. Then his eyes went wide.
'That's not good. Well, it's good that we've found someone, but bad that we've found one of them.'

It inspected its nails with disinterest.
'Still insulting me? I thought you said I ran out of entertainment value?'

'You need to get patched up!' He looked a Nijuu. If we get him to your home, do you think you can help him?'

Grey cased Midnight at his side, tightly within the blade's holster, then tossed Sidewinder into a nearby shadow portal, before sitting down on his bike, not to ride it, but rather to rest on it. "I gotta be ready in two hours.......have another match, ten on one......I'm to win it........" He closed his eyes to think for a moment, wondering how he was going to force Genesis to give him power during that time.

Mawthrough felt it, the sensation rippling through his wing. He tried to rise.
"You're too weak."

The voice seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere, and he sagged.
"You can't get up. You can't go. Not like this."

"Who are you?" he asked the darkness.

"The most destructive force the planet's ever seen, the destroyer of all life. The planet whimpers at the sound of my name. The angels and demons both were born from and shall die at my hand. I am one of the children of Lilith."

Mawthrough didn't move.
"What are you?"

"I am your HUMANITY."

Mawthrough lay there, listening to the darkness.
"Forsake the power you currently wield. Give in. Become what you were made to be. A far crueler being than any demon could be."

"What do you mean?"

"To be born evil is one thing. To be born evil and choose good, or be born good and choose evil, is quite another. But to have the luxury of pure devotion... of pure commitment to evil... corruption, something even angels are weak to..."

Mawthrough managed to sit up.
"Throw around your power with abandon. Give in totally to the darkness. Throw away your inhibitions, become what humans have always been. Vessels of darkness. CHOOSE the darkness. Stop being a demon and become a man. BECOME the true darkness."

One leg on the floor.
"If I choose this... if I become dark... can I save her?"

"You are a man. You will do whatever you please. And care not for the blood shed."

Another leg.
"How can I stand up to angels? I don't have the strength."
"You are the Ever-Living Locust. The Eternal Scourge. The Chaos Warrior. The strength is one found when darkness is all."

Mawthrough took a step. Then another.
"Do all hybrids do this... darkness?"
"No... because they don't need to. You do. So do it."

Mawthrough closed his eyes, and gave in, finally.

One day passed.
Mawthrough did not come.

From her room, Chastity could hear her father talking with her suitor about the way she'd behaved. She could hear her suitor talking about "setting her on the straight and narrow" and "making sure she doesn't consort with demons anymore" - he even claimed he'd "purify" her.

The sun set. The stars came.
The stars passed.
The sun rose.

The feather lay forlornly on her desk, and when Chastity woke on the day of her wedding, the feather had crumbled into dust...

"You asked, I answered. Common courtesy."
Darkion turned back to the beast.
"Anywho, my escort appears to have departed of her own accord. I have her scent though - no doubt I will track her down once again. I rather enjoyed her company. As for you..."
He seemed to give a grudging nod.
"If there is one good thing to be said of you, you have many of my key traits. Resourcefulness. Strength."
He paused.
"And indestructibility."

"Hey were are you going i better be getting some compensation for helping you out!"
he yells after Gerald

Revan chuckcled
" I never intended to my job ended when you told me where the money was and when you put your sword through your target."

The door opened, and one of her father's servants entered, dressed in a fine black suit as all the other servants were on this fine day.

The servant, perhaps sensing her discomfort, didn't say a word as he helped her into the dress, and double checked she was good to go.

"Your family and fiance are waiting in the chapel. It is my charge to escort you there."

He walked behind her as they left the room. As he gently moved to block off all avenues of escape as they presented themselves, the silence grew deafening.

"The servants are buzzing that you've fallen in with a hellspawn," he said after a while. "As I am but a servant of your father, it is not my place to ask such a question as this but... is it true? Had you indeed agreed to consort with a devil? Merest curiosity of course..."

Darkion smiled at the creature's retreating back.
"A compliment is a reminder of one's degree for mercy," he said softly.
"And thus, the enhanced pleasure in so cruelly ignoring it... is exquisite."
He walked back, letting the scent of Lilith and her companion fill his nose. He would scheme, and plot. On the way, he reached into his pocket and withdrew a tooth, seperated from it's human host.
A single trickle of blood ran from his mouth, and he nicked a knight with it as he passed.
"So sorry..." he apologized as he ran on.
"Now where is that girl...?"

The servant said nothing more.

They reached the chapel, and everyone was assembled.
The servant that had been escorting her veered away to the side, where he took the cushion which bore the ring - for he was to be the ring-bearer.

Her father suddenly emerged from the crowd and took her arm, leading her to the altar where her groom stood smugly, with several of his friends practically seething with jealousy in the front row.
"If you make one wrong move... you will never fly again, do you understand child?" Inferno whispered in her ear.
"Do you understand what you have to do?"

Revan started to walk past Cecil and Rein before he stopped a few steps past them
"don't worry its not time for your knight to die I should know i am a reaper."
He says with a chuckle
"Also the power of yours can it put blood into others cause if so you will want to do that otherwise even if you pull the blade out he will bleed out ohh in about two to three secounds max so its important to be able to keep and put blood in just as much as it is to take blood out." He then starts walking to the shed to collect the money

Spectre sat in place, with his feet propped up against another row, "Ah, I can't wait to witness the massacre. I already know how the champions will die. Its evident. Wielders of shadow be damned lest they look upon the face of Genesis."

Revan stops agains and thinks for a moment before speaking
"thats good hey listen i just got done with a contract i just took so if you guys need a third person ill gladly tag along for this journey that is if you want a reaper assasins help."
He says with a chuckle

The tall well-dressed arrogant archangel merely gave a derisive chuckle and looked her body up and down, smiling as though she was a piece of meat in the market.

The reverend droned on about love and hope and eternal bonding until it reached the point where the vow had to be made.
No-one spoke up when asked if they had any reason why the marriage should not take place, and then it was time for the rings to be brought.

The servant Chastity had spoken to earlier came up the aisle, head bowed, holding a simple ring with a diamond shape set in the top.
He made his way through the archangels, up to the altar, and stood there, head bowed.

Chastity's fiance made an irritant snort, impatiently beckoning for the servant to hand over the ring.

The servant looked up at Chastity and their eyes locked.
Just for a second.
And in the same instant she realised who he was he had taken the ring and slashed open her "lover"'s throat with it.

As the archangel's corpse fell straight to the floor, pandemonium struck like a lightning bolt.
The front rows went berserk and scrambled straight to the back, while those behind, seeking vengeance, crashed straight into them while trying to reach the front.

Mawthrough pocketed the blood-stained diamond ring and turned to Chastity, completely ignorant of the stunned archangel reverend literally a foot away.
"That dress suits you."

The archangel reverend finally regained his senses, made to reach for his sword -

"Uh-uh-uh." Mawthrough reached out and put his hand over the reverend's, stopping him from withdrawing it.
The reverend stared at him in shock.
"Now," Mawthrough said and withdrew his hand, so the reverend drew out his sword and then Mawthrough simply took the blade from his hand and killed him with it too, adding another corpse to the altar.

"This is starting to resemble a funeral..."

Inferno finally recognised their assailant and finally cracked.
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMNED INNNCCCCUUUUUUUUBUUUUUUUUUUS!!!!!!"
He charged, his great wings opening as he surged across the chapel, the mighty blade he carried ablaze with flame.

"You call yourself a servant of God?"

The mighty blade came down, only to be met with the steel of the stolen blade and despite the fact the power behind Inferno's strike was stronger than Mawthrough can bear, Mawthrough angled his blade just enough so the slash went straight into the stone.
Mawthrough then responded by spiking Inferno straight through the wrist, causing the archangel to roar with pain and swipe at him with his other hand.
Mawthrough ducked the hand, reached down, pulled out the sword the dead archangel fiance had carried and in a second had pinned Inferno to a pew by his other hand, leaving the mighty divine being spreadeagled with his throat bare for slitting.

Before Mawthrough could do the deed, another angel ran up from behind and threw flames at him. Mawthrough replied by darting aside as the flames flew past and pulled out a dagger he must have concealed beforehand before stabbing the angel in the side of the head, causing the being to stagger and fall to the floor, the third corpse of the day.
Mawthrough looked down at it absentmindedly before giving it a kick.

Then he turned back to Inferno, the rest of the church now deserted - except for Chastity's mother, who was desperately trying to free her husband from the swords pinning him. When she realised Mawthrough was coming towards them again, she spread her arms wide, making it clear her intent to protect him to the end - an end that the determined look on Mawthrough's face made it clear he was going to provide...

Revan shakes his head
"not at all besides i need to get something from that cabin over there that is where he said the gold was ill go collect that then ill be back hopefully he will be awake by then but if not i can wait a little bit have nothing better to do."
He then walks to the cabin to go claim the reward that the man promised him.

Mawthrough laughed.
"Your mother I'll gladly spare, because she's the only one of the rabble worthy of my respect. Your father on the other hand..."

He made to take a step forward - and Inferno finally ripped himself free of the blades binding him and took up his sword again.
"You are going to be hunted across every dimension for this, you ignorant little demon!"

"Human."

The dagger ripped straight through Inferno's ear, spurting blood and causing the archangel to curse.
"You all think you're so much better than us. You say you came to save us from ourselves. But why don't you admit the truth?"

Another step forward.

"You came here because you were SCARED of one day having to face us. In all our glory. The human race. The ever-lasting locusts. Heralds of chaos. Prophets of war. The ever-lasting death."

Another step.

"You fear death. We INVENTED death. You fear pain. We were MADE from pain. You disregard love. We DESTROY in love's name - anything that crosses our path, we destroy it for love. You crossed my path. So now, I'll destroy you."

He and Chastity's mother were now nose to nose, each looking equally fierce and equally determined.
Then he laughed and turned away.
"The only one here who could take me down. Just a normal human. No Nephilim, no angels, no demons. Just one human determined to protect that which she loves. That, I respect."

He took Chastity's hand fiercely, and turned to lead her away.
"I'll leave you with that, Inferno. That which you sought to deny your daughter turns out to save your hide. I'll let you go with that shame."

They left the chapel, Inferno and his wife standing there watching them go, and crossed to the cliff at the back. Mawthrough looked down into the sea for a very long time.
Then he gave Chastity a kiss, and his wings sprouted.
"Let's go," he said, voice back to normal, then they took to the skies.

Mawthrough had not seen his parents again since that day.
Chastity had not seen hers, and the decision to reveal their engagement was not one to be taken lightly.
But it had to be done, because they couldn't spend their lives running forever.

He stroked Chastity's hair.
"You ok?"

Mawthrough nodded.
"Aye. And I never want to lose you. You are all I live for. Literally."

He sat there, in thought.
"Yet, if there is any chance of them accepting us, we must get them together. As mad as that may be, it's the only way I can think of that might drive it home. And then..."
He looked at her.
"Well, whatever it brings, my love, we WILL face it TOGETHER, and we WILL overcome it. Thank you for being with a lousy demon, Chastity." He smiled ruefully...
