"Well until we find the station or it gets dark... whichever is first",
Flint pulled himself up and began to dress himself

she finished dressing then peeked out of the tent
"well i hope it doesnt get too hot for us if we are gonna be walking"

He finished and followed her out,
"Yeah, the heat is bad enough as it is"

There was a rumble and the same a few meters shifted as rocks rose up from it

she shook her head
"that is is"
she felt a rumble
"what was that?"

Flint looked in the direction of the rumble as the rocks and stone formed into a golem,
"That... my love... is a problem..."

Arthur turned, saw them and the golem.
"Oh... bother, I suppose..."

Sand began to form around it. The best let off a load roar...

fay looked at flint
"i have a bit of a problem, if we have to fight that i dont think i can, i need water in order to do so and being in the desert, i cant draw water the ground is too dry"

Flint looked back at Fay,
"Erm...",
He looked to Arthur,
"Any ideas?"

Arthur twisted, grabbing his box, and started rooting through it.
"Hold him off, I don't know how, but give me a few minutes..."

"I hope you have a plan...",
He reached into his pouch and pulled out a small book, lifting from it the words of fire,
"TAKE THIS!",
he sent the flames at the golem but to ill effect

she looked at flint, can you pull some water for me?

He nodded and began to draw water from the book, but as he pulled it from the pages the Golem ran forward and slammed into him,
The water sprayed through the air as he was knocked to the ground

fay waved her hand in the air causing the water to gather forming several large droplets she moved her hand causing them to form into spikes and blew towards them causing them to freeze sending them towards the golem

The ice shattered upon hitting the golem, but placed small cracks into his body causing it to turn and charge at Fay, swinging its arms

"Fay! Look out!"

she see the golem running towards her and starts to run away from it
"i need more water"

There was a thud, then the golem stopped in it's tracks, looking very confused.
Arthur emerged from behind it, an ornate pen held in his hands that was glowing with magic.

"I'm hoping these things aren't very intelligent, but as relatives of me and Stake this is a bit of a gamble..."

Flint looked up at Arthur, his side hurt from the Golem knocking him down,
"Just do whatever you need to do to stop it..."

The golem twitched, and Arthur moved behind it again, and then they heard him muttering to himself as there were more thuds.
"How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood... how many eggs are there in a chicken... what's the definition of a definition of a definition of a definition... so many questions for it..."

Flint looked confused,
"What?"

The golem looked confused

"Attempting to overwhelm the animatory magics by infecting the cohesive enchantments with inherent logical conundrums... basically, giving it a really big headache and hoping it gives up trying to deal with it..."
There were more thuds.
"This is quite fun actually... how much cake would you need to cut down a tree... if Jimmy cracks corn and no-one cares, how come he keeps doing it... If she sells sea shells, and Peter Piper picks pickled peppers, what does Harry Harold hack... this should be doing it..."

Flint looks at Fay,
"What did he say?"

fay looked at flint confused
"i have no clue im lost"

The golem was starting to shake, as Arthur wrote even more questions on it's back.

"If two mind readers read each other's minds, are they reading their own minds? Is orange named after the fruit or was it named after the color? If a poison's out of date, is it more poisonous or less poisonous? Come on... fall already..."

The golem looked down at him and kicked him letting out a roar
