A greedy king, not happy with the ruling he had over the land "despicable creatures" he called mankind, wanted more. The deity of death and destruction, pleased by the Kings thirst for more power, decided to offer a deal to the king. The king was offered to have a world all to himself and the power to create that world, but in return he was to destroy all of mankind. The deity saw this as a perfect opportunity to create a world of darkness and the king would do his bidding. As greedy as the king was he didn't hesitate to take the offer.

A war broke out amongst all the villages, the king using the deity's forces to destroy all of those who were human leaving the world in turmoil.

The other gods were displeased with this, but they too had a plan of their own, they had prepared for the deity to make a move as bold as this many years in advanced. They had placed several humans on the earth to be born in the years prior to the attack, knowing these humans would fight back for what is right . Each person carries a certain power, a tool/weapon, or had a special ability about them to help them battle the kings pawns, to ultimately bring down the king and his rule.

The Deity of Death and Destruction dislikes everyone, except for the Deity of Darkness.

The Deity of Darkness is mostly neutral to everything occurring, he is a solitary figure.

The Deity of Knowledge dislikes the Deity of Death and Destruction, as he dislikes his precious people.

The Deity of Purity and Pride opposes the Deity of Death and Destruction and the Deity of Darkness. He is neutral towards the Deity of Knowledge.

*no one is invincible or all powering (even the villians we have as op have their weaknesses)

*you can have a supernatural power, a certain tool or weapon that contains a power, or a special ability to battle with, but no god moding, powers are to be limited. No one is gonna go outside, slam their sword on the ground or use their power and obliterate everything in sight all at once, this is not allowed PERIOD. Basically "one shot, one kill" ordeal

*play your characters as you would like, if you follow the rules there shouldn't be any issues, not everyone has to be in one group there can be several groups or you can travel solo, we are all going after the same thing in the end.....

I wake up wrapping a sheet around myself, looking around the estate i am occupying.

I walk over to the window and sit on the ledge overlook the desolate world that was once beautiful, until the attack up the king and his demon pawns.

I notice a bat trying to find a place to hide from the light, i grab my trusty 45 from the dresser and shoot it **bang** "disgusting spies" i say to myself knowing those bats are spies of the king himself, im not taking any chances.

looking down i notice someone approaching the front door. I walk out of the room and stand at the top of the stairs with my 45 in hand waiting to see who it is....

I stride with confidence to the gate of the manor before me, my armor weighing more heavily then it has before. "Damn, even though its Kevlar now, this ishit is still a pain in the ***," I say to myself, while continually glancing around with my dark as black eyes.

My black armour, once a proud symbol of who I was, is now nothing more then another layer of defence for me, the Kings crest, which had stood boldy upon my chest, is now almost entirely gone, maybe another week or so with the steel wool will take care of that.

My brown hair gets whipped around by the wind, smacking me in the face, but i cannot stand to cut it, to reclaim the shortness that was just one more symbol of the knights.

I stroll up to the door and knock, hoping someone is here, looking for areprieve from all the hell i just had walked through

After spending some time at the door, i decide i'm going in, the place is probably abandoned, like all the rest of the houses in the village. I check the knob, noticing its not locked, give it a sharp twist, and.

I walk in to a large corridor witha set of stairs at the further end. AT teh top stands...holy **** its a woman... damn, she doesn't look happy.

"Umm... hello miss," I say as i slowly extend y empty hands to my sides, keeping them in plain view to show i have no weapons at the ready. This was for show, as it didn't matter to me where my weapon was, but i don't want to scare the lady in front of me.

"I mean no harm, M'lady, I was unaware of the occupation of this manse, as the rest of the village is devoid of life, now that the **grimaces** king... is fully engaging in war with humankind."

I say this, hoping like hell that i can finally change my fate, that I can maybe make some atonement for the atrocities i have cause. I await her word patiently, with no hope for kindness, but waiting anyway.

The dark melancholy bar give me a feeling of calm in this hectic world. I moved to the corner of the bar and took a seat.

"How cliche.." I thought to myself.

"A drifter through town.. in a dark empty bar.. sitting in the corner..cliche indeed."

A man approached me, noticeably nervous. He stood a few feet from me, wringing his hands and shifting his gaze back and forth.

"Are you..Darius?" He questioned. If I hadn't realized he was nervous before, I would know now. His voice trembled with fear and anxiety.

I looked over at the small man, and shook my head.

"Then.. I have a.. request for you." He said, seeming to become less nervous as time went on.


"And?" I said, growing annoyed at his beating around the bush.

"I want you to kill this man.." he said, sliding me a dossier in a brown paper envelope.

"Cliche..." I said, looking down at the envelope.

"Money.." I continued, waiting for him to hand it over.

He slid me a small sack containing no more than 30 gold.

"Is this a joke?" I asked, seriously disappointed with the small amount of money in front of me.


I slid the dossier and money back to him, and motioned for him to leave.

Ever since this all started, the money in our land seemed to be disappearing rapidly.. which is unfortunate for a mercenary such as myself.

"I guess I'll spend another night wandering.." I said to myself.

I headed up to the bar and threw the remainder of my cash on the counter, and took a bottle of rum.

I walked out the door into the windy street, my long coat whipping in the wind. I took a swig of my rum and walked down the street, into the bitterness of the night.

OOT: I'm going to go ahead and say the legal drinking age in this land is 18, or there isn't one. Doesn't matter to me, but people seem to be saying this is a current era story since there are guns, so there would likely be a drinking age.

Keeping my hands outward and visible, i start to explain," M'lady, i am a former knight of the one we still call king, though he is now more madman and devil then human. I once was part of his elite Blood Knights, but after the atrocities he made us perform over and over again upon our fellow man, i could not stand it and have left, though some that i would consider brother have remained."
"Once again, I mean no harm, as I now see that my calling is elsewhere, helping with...something...i don't know, I'm rambling, its been awhile since I have had conversation...I am just looking for a place of brief refuge, i will leave immediately if you so command, M'lady. Your decision is final, I will bring no harm unto you..."

*scrrrrrr* The long, skinny, blade like arm of the abomination scraped against the metal paneling. I crouched in the shadows, holding my shotgun as close as possible. The darkness of this service shaft was the only thing that impeded the creature's senses. I slowly shift away from it, approaching a turn in the tunnel. I slowly turned the corner, but to my dismay, it was collapsed. I was trapped, the tunnels were narrow, about 2 men wide, and the creature was blocking the only way out. I had no choice, I had to engage this awkward opponent.

The lights were flickering, a drop of sweat fell from brow onto the metal floor. Broken parts littered the area, but nothing would be remotely capable of inflicting any damage against the creature. It seemed dumbfounded, did it know I existed? My shotgun was empty, I had some ammunition in my pack, but the whole process would attract its attention for sure... My mind raced, I was panicked... I slid my hands against the dark floor and it came in contact with a washer. I lifted the small metal piece and glance around the corner to the creature. It was tall and twig-like, walking on two stilt like legs, and it had two arms that were slightly curved blades past the elbow. I toss the washer past its legs and it hit one of the walls of the service tunnel. It reacted to the noise, and walked towards the washer. I dashed from the corner and slammed the but end of my shotgun against its small head. It staggered forth, running into one of the walls. It then vigorously turned around and swung one of its arms at him, the blade nicked me on the cheek. I felt the warm blood dripping from left side of my face. It swung its other arm at me, but I jumped back, it came in contact with a hose on the wall and lodged itself in it. The creature was stuck and struggled to free its arm, but I jumped at it, pinning its other arm down low with my right hand. I punch at the thing's face with my other arm, it gave a hideous screech. I slammed my fist into it over and over until its feet gave out and collapsed on the ground, its arm lifted and still lodged into the hose. I back up, and pull my pack around me and pull out 4 shells, and load them into my shotgun. I pump it back, and aimed at the abomination...

I snap to rigid attention, clench a fist and hold it on my chest and bow, "M'lady, I shall do as you ask, as for title, I was once known as the Bloody Grin, but no more, please, now, I am Grinidon, a humble knight at your sevice."

With that, I straighten back up and turn around, walking to the man behind me.

"You...I have heard of your clan. The king once sent an envoy to your peoples, trying to bring them in as assassins. For the sickening madman that claims kingship of these lands, I give you my apology. I was not there when the envoy attacked, but it sickens me, all of it, every atrocity weighs upon me now. Once again, I am sorry for what has been done."

Without waiting for a responce, i head out, dispose of the armor that had saved my life countless times, and strap on yet again, my Ether Shotgun, and my accursed blade Erlicht.

After rearming my self with the weapons of war, I head back inside, armourless, and await what may come next.

I venture forth in the service tunnels, they branch off into a huge network, and its easy to get lost in it. God, this is such a maze, I noticed some movement, and quickly changed my path. The new path I took was much like the rest of the tunnels, broken panels littered the flooring, cables and wires sparked as frequently as the lights flickered, trash was scattered on the floor, and the occasional fluid leak coming out of a pipe. I venture farther, and the path took a decline, venturing farther underground. I continue until I find a door, it was labeled "Security". I turn the knob and push the door open. The room was musty, and cramped. Computers lined the walls, and upon tables backed up against the walls. Most of the computers were broken, but a few were still operational.

I walk up to one of the still working computers and read the console:
>1134: Comm still up? 1156, please read off the error.
>1156: It looks like something cut off the power to levels 4 and below, nothing reading off the scanners.
>1142: Probably rats, I will check this out.
>1134: Roger that, be careful, its pitch black down there.
(Corrupted data, cannot read, continuing)
>1142: I found the cables, but they seem to be literally cut in half.
>1156: No rat could do that...
>1134: What does the local scanner say?
>1142: Uhh, its broken.
>1134: Broken? This looks intentional, someone is doing this.

i look down jus realizing i have been standing before 2 men in jus a bed sheet this entire time

i head back up into my room, put on my attire, a knee length midnight blue corset top dress with a ruffle skirt and a pair of knee length black boots..i throw my long brown hair in a ponytail, gather my guns and head back down where i left the men.....

After the lady of the house offered her kitchen to my disposal, my stomache lets out a snarl and lets me know it seconds her motion. I turn to look at Vyse, and find him sitting on the floor. "Kitchen." is all i say as I head to the doors past the stairway, saying a little prayer that I may actually get sustenance, open the doors, and paradise...a kitchen... and a refrigerator! K

I immediately start raiding the fridge, find some cheese, and apparently some fruits, presumably from a small orchard near the premises. upon closer look, i spot some eggs, enough for two people.

I locate the stove range and skillets, and proceed to heat the pan for omlettes, having found some potatoes and other ingredients to add. I whip up a couple of omlettes, and sit down at the kitchen table to eat my repast.

After reading the computer logs, I study the room. Screens to computers were broken and equipment was scattered all over the floor. I look down at the wreckage on the floor, lifting a computer monitor, bullet casings were underneath it. Blood was splattered in places too. I guess those technicians were killed.

I went back to the computer that I look at before, maybe there is more than what meets the eye. I extend my arm out to it, and my eyes blurred. My hand glowed with a soft golden light. I was able to see the workings of the computer. I saw that on the computer everything was wiped out, except a few functions. One of the functions, a security function, released every lock. I was quick to initiate that function with my power. I heard the sound of gas escaping, and stopping my powers, I saw a circular piece rotate above my head, and opened up, like a hatch. A ladder soon extended out of the ceiling. I climbed up it, leading into one of the service shafts that was a level above me. I scanned the halls, and found another such hatch, with a bright light steaming down from the hole. Escape!, I ran to it, and started to climb the ladder. But as I progressed, the hatches started to close again. Something is trying to lock me in! I let go of one of the steps with one of my hands and place it on the closed hatch cover. My eyes blurred again, and my hand glowed. Indeed, someone reversed what I done before, locking the hatches down again. I concentrated myself, and sent a spike directly to the singe hatch, forcing it to open once again. The machine groaned, and the hatch rotated, and opened up once again. Bright sunlight blinded me as I pulled my self out of the service tunnels, back onto the surface. Freedom! I rejoiced, only for it to soon be quelled by a loud siren, my escape triggered an alarm system.

The loud wails of the alarm could be heard at far distances

when finished i head downstairs into the kitchen and find grinidon stuffing his face with omelets . i look to grinidon ..."is it good?" i say with a grin

typical man eating like a pig but then he prolly hasn't eaten for some time "the name is ella by the way"

i grab my bag and my cloak, "i have to head into town for a bit for some supplies, i should be back in a hour if you can inform vyse for my would be appreciated"

i glare at grindon with my eyes glowing blue "i am trusting you both into my home and i expect to return to it as it is"

i smile at him, my eye going back to their natural green color "ill be back shortly"

i head out to the stables approaching my black horse midnight petting his nose "thats a good horse" i climb onto her back and ride away into town

approaching the desolate town i pull up my hood up over my head climb off my horse and slowly walk into the town pulling my guns from my holster under my cloak..

i notice a dark figure stumbling toward me and i stop.."who are you?" i ask

I look up as Ella makes her introduction. Before I say anything, she says something about leaving and returnng, then eyeballs me with an icy blue stare. Not wanting to lose face, I hold in my choking sound until she leaves, then think to my self, Heh, shes got spunk, I like that...no, no, I walk a different path now.

With the omlette finished, i do as Ella had asked, clean up the things in the kitchen and such, and such, and head out to find the living room.
