"Oh bother..."
He toppled across the sand, before getting up looking disgruntled.
"Well, that's not good..."

The golem reached into the sand and pulled up a large rock, then threw it at Arthur

He rolled his eyes - and then the rock crushed him completely.

A moment later, he crawled out from underneath it, cursing.
"I am a scientist! Not a fighter! NOT!"

Flint pulled more water from his book,
"FAY!"

The golem turned to look at Flint and began to charge towards him

fay nodded
"thanks"
fay used the water creating more ice spikes, larger ones this time and sent them towards the golem

The golem let out another roar upon the attacks hitting it,
more scratches and dents began to appear.
It knocked past flint once more and charged at Fay, bringing its arms up to crush her into the ground

A rope with runes glowing in the threads wrapped around the golem's arms, throwing it off balance from the unexpected attack.
"This is actually rather fun!" Arthur yelled as he struggled to hold on...

Flint let out a sigh of relief,
"Thanks... Now keep him there for a few moments",
he went through his pouch and began picking out several books and a pen

fay looked over at flint
"what are you planning to do?"

"Don't worry about me, just focus on him!",
Flint began to scribble over several of the books

The golem let out another roar and slammed its foot into the sand, causing a large hole to appear

"Whoa... whoa there... easy, easy..."
Arthur was sliding along the ground this way and that as the golem struggled to get free.
"With all due decorum and respect, FLINT, WOULD YOU HURRY UP!?"

"This takes time... Don't rush me!",
Flint scribbled faster, his hand almost blurred as it moved through the pages with the pen

The Golem grabbed at Arthur and attempted to throw him into Fay

"Eep."
He slid and bent out the way of the golem's hands, oohing and aahing at each time the golem grabbed -
Then it managed it.
"EEP!"
He started slithering around in the golem's grip, making it stop for a second to try and grab him properly...

Flint stood up as the books pages tore from it and encircled him disintegrating into words then fading,
"They say an image is worth more than a thousand words...",
he began to walk forward,
"But words are my soul",
he held his arm out to the side as something began to appear,
"And with them... I forge my lance!",
He ran forward at the golem pulling the lance back,
"Now go to hell!"

The golem got a grip on Arthur and turned to look at Flint as he ran towards him

fay stepped back allowing flit to handle the golem

The lance broke through the Golems body, releasing a loud crack...

The golem dropped Arthur and went limp..

Flint's head thrust forward as he coughed up blood,
He looked up at the Golem then let go of the lance, causing it to fade.
Flint fell to the ground

"How... poetic."
Arthur got back to his feet, pulled out a handkerchief, and ran over to Flint, dabbing the blood away from his mouth.
"You fatally injured? I'd say alright, but that's so cliche..."

"No... I-",
he was cut off

The golem had woken up and slammed its foot into flint, the power of it sending him into the air and then slamming into the sand

Arthur looked up at the golem.
"Well... this isn't good..."
Then he did something no sane man would have done.
He charged at the golem and hugged onto it, hard, taking root, giving Flint time to recover...

The golem flailed around at Arthur

Flint coughed up more blood while trying to pull himself up, only to fall back into the sand

fay ran over to help flint
"whats wrong why are you coughing up blood?"

He looked up at her and tried to smile,
"Nothing to worry about... Just a-",
he coughed up more blood,
"A...a side-effect"

she kneels down next to him
"is there anything i can do to help?"

"Help Arthur...",
Flint tried to sit up but failed,
"That think will kill us if we don't get rid of it"

"Kill you, maybe! I'm immortal, remember?!" Arthur shouted, his body having literally rooted in the golem's body, roots seeping in the cracks.
"Although some help would be REALLY appreciated..."
