"Seems I valued my life more than others. Unfortunately we cannot change the past. I am remorseful about it." Carlyle reached his hand out bottle included.

"Care for a swig?"

Mathuriel chose this moment to walk up, his eyes full of pity for the pair of them - Ella for her sorrow, the man - Carlyle - for his pathetic attitude.
"Ella, I'd come away from him. He's clearly a broken man."

ella shook her head
"no thanks i dont want any"
she looked over at Mathuriel and walked over towards him drying her tears composing herself
"but i need to get some supplies in the market, do you mind helping?"

Once the new man approaches, and his words pierced him. He stumbles in closer to the new stranger, and places his left hand on his shoulder. Vodka breath came out and hit the face of the stranger.

"I know I am a broken man, And now, Now that I know my errors, I want to reconcile for what I've done, I was young, I have to bare these horrible thoughts on my conscious till my dying day. I'm afraid the only way I think I could reconcile or live with myself is if i started anew, after the king is killed."

Stumbling back he enters the general store he was sitting in to grab a sack of food, His sack to be specific and came out the door. All the edible food from the store was in there. He threw the sack and the man.

"That's all the food from this store, Anything else you need help with?"

Mathuriel had smelt the insides of a dragon's bowels before - dimension walking mishap - so didn't recoil from the putrid stench.
He refused the sack, and threw it back.
"Penance shall not be found in charity or mourning, or even in solitude."
He took the man to the side, outside of Ella's hearing.

"If you truly seek repentance, then you will walk with me for a moment..."

He looked back at Ella.
"Go shopping - I'm going to give this man some advice about how to repent."
He turned back.
"Go with it," he whispered...

ella nodded then headed into the market gathering medical supplies, and a few other things they would need placing them in rather large sacks and setting them near the door. after several moments she peered out to make sure the coast was clear and gave a quick whistle.

upon hearing the whistle midnight made his way from the forest to the front of the market. stopping just outside the door.
she approached him patting him on the nose
"good boy, just like always"
she started loading the sacks onto midnight

Carlyle nodded his head. and and stood at the ready to begin walking.

"Whenever you're ready."

Mathuriel walked with him down a dark, secluded alleyway where no one walked.
A rat scuttled over their feet.

"I'm going to kill the king. And you're going to help me."

Carlyle smirked in joy, relieved he didn't have to fight. now-a-days, people are violent and unpredictable.

"And you assume that because I was part of the army, I understand the tactics that will be used against us. luckily I was usually sent on assassination missions."

Taking another swig of vodka he finished the bottle off and threw it down the alleyway, a crash of glass echoed out of the alleyway.

"What are your terms... Friend?"

"Terms?"
Mathuriel turned to him.
"I do this not for profit or my own purpose. I do this for others. And I've met you before - I KNOW you did assassination missions. A few of you still do..."
He raised an eyebrow.
"And as for tactics, there are and will be no problems facing us. Tomorrow night, I will return to this alleyway. And on that night, the king will die."
He patted Carlyle on the shoulder.
"Any questions?"

"Why do you think the King will be here Tomorrow, in this specific alley?, The king barely left his castle when I was working with him." Carlyle sighs.

"May I tag along with you guys? Maybe get some new clothes. I am quite uncomfortable in this."

"He won't be. We're going to him. Here -"
Mathuriel took something from his pocket and placed it amidst the debris and rubble.
"-is what's going to get us inside. A lodestone. Charge me up beyond my normal limits, should get us straight into the throne room."
He tossed Carlyle a pouch of gold, enough for a new suit and some weaponry.
"Have fun, then meet me at the mansion through the forest. We'll all be there."

He walked casually out to meet Ella.
"How'd it go?"

ella was finishing loading her horse
"i got the supplies we would need, we should have enough to last us a while"
she looked at him
"what was that all about?"

Daemon smiled as a cold wind blew at his short black hair. His cloak had gained several tears and the stain of blood could be spotted on his boots. For those who could sense or see aura, a black spirit like glow came over him and a dense gravity pulled at the air within a few meters of his body.

"Do you really want to know why I am a wanted man?", he said darkly.

Sasuro glares at Daemon.
"You're aura sickens me."
He says looking down at him.
"I am however interested in your tale..."

Daemon fixed his gaze onto Sasuro. The aura thickened but retreated slightly.

"I was hired...", he began,"to kill the king.".
A pause followed.
"I almost did so as well, however, someone decided to tell the king and now he has some leverage over me...", He said,"Now, first I am going to get that leverage back and then I am going to reduce both him and everything he created to ash."

"Ha! You and us all."
Sasuro said with a laugh.
"I hope you find your leverage then, then maybe we will be fighting the king together!"
He exclaimed.

"Not everyone has held a blade to his throat though.", Daemon said.

"Just some talking."
Mathuriel looked her over, checked her supplies.
"Got everything? Alright, just say the word and we'll be off back to your place."
He paused.
"That was not me asking you on a date, just so we're clear..."

ella looked back at the alleyway
"if you say so"
she looked back at Mathuriel and smiled
"i believe i did, an yes we should be heading back. its not safe to be here to long"
she hopped on her horse
"and we are clear"
she clicked her tongue for her horse to move heading towards the others

Sasuro mounts his horse and meets up with Ella.

Mathuriel looked up at Daemon.
Then he motioned for Ella and Sasuro to leave. "I'll be there in a minute..." Then he returned his gaze to Daemon.
"What's this... leverage you speak of?"

"None of your business", Daemon snapped, "It was enough for me to pull my blade from his throat and that is all that you need to know"

Mathuriel shook his head, disregarding Daemon's refusal completely.
"You come to Ella's house, get the guards on her, get me involved, set off a chain of events that are significant enough to ripple through dimensions, draw attention to her, and then you decide to just work alone? No no no - come on, tell me - trust me, I've heard worse."

"Trust that you have heard worse? Sure...", Daemon said sarcastically, "Trust you in general? I'll pass.".

ella pulled the hood of her cloak up and clicked her tongue encouraging midnight to go
"im sure you all can find your way back then, im gonna go ahead and unload"
she clicked her tongue again and sped up heading into the forest, midnight eyes glowing again as they disappeared into the darkness
