The crew sprang into action, scampering around the ship getting everything sorted.
A few crew started moving below deck, only to remember their jobs and duty to serve their glorious captain and kept moving.

Tyrcestus looked at the man's leg, and placed his hands on it.
The man babbled. "B-bloody psycho with a flintlock on the other boat, captain!"

Tyrcestus sat down next to Trinity, stroking her hair and placing his coat over her for extra warmth.

The storm hit, both ships getting tossed and hurled around almost contemptuosly by the howling winds and drenched from aft to stern by the sudden fierce driving rain.

The inept marauders on their new ship did not seem TOO malevolent, but Tyrcestus sat down by Trinity, taking no chances.

The ships were now enveloped in the heart of the storm, and the crew were only rallied by the defiant stance of their now-beloved and (in their minds) omnipotent captain. Fiercely, they battled the elements, driving the Golden Dragon on through the rain. On the original transport, it was clear they were going to have to move soon or the sea was going to become miles too inhospitable to survive on.

Arisa closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on her meditations...though with the sound of everyone running around above deck, she found this hard to accomplish. "What is it that I'm supposed to focus on?" Arisa asked.

Tyrcestus smirked ruefully.
"I followed you. I hope you're enjoying my jacket."

Out of the storm, which was a fierce and raging one as it was, an even worse force was emerging from the darkness of the clouds.
The man at the helm turned white.
"IT'S A TYPHOON, CAPTAIN!!!"

The crew obediently started praying.
"Captain Leon... Please... save us all... glorious captain Leon...!"

Tyrcestus very faintly heard the shouts of "Typhoon!" and some kind of instinct took him above deck. "Stay here," he said very very sternly to Trinity. "Do. Not. Move. Whatever happens, do not move. That said, you don't have much else to -"
There was a reassuring thud, as Clun plopped down next to her. "I'll keeps her safe for you."
Tyrcestus flashed a grateful nod to the troll mage, a wink to Trinity, then he dashed above deck into the chaos.

For Sean, the storm felt... wrong. Something was definitely off about this whole event. The raging cyclone was completely berserk, wild, out of control, and there was more behind it than the work of nature. Magic permeated the drops of water.

Hexy, sensing the magic too, took to the skies. Fweep struggled in the high gales, but through scolding, a tight grip and so much luck, she climbed and climbed to the top of the maelstrom, only to look down and discover things were getting worse.

Her voice screamed in the heads of every man on board the ship.
"WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIRLLLLLLLPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!!"
Every pirate immediately let out an extremely rude word, and the captain shoved them out of the way to get to the wheel.
"The sea wants us gone, so let's go let's go LET'S GO!!" He started wrenching the wheel, hard. "We get caught in that madness we'll be torn to shreds! They won't even find OUR BONES!!"

Tyrcestus ran to the front of the ship. Staring out at the insane pillar of water ripping through the ocean towards them, and almost falling overboard from the sheer suction of the whirlpool pulling them in, his eyes seemed unfocused, beyond this place.
Then, he was seeing something else.

Behind the typhoon.
Through the whirlpool.
At the very core of the maelstrom.
A small, desert island, with a single palm tree, barely big enough for four people to stand on.
And resting against the tree, was a large ornate reddened chest.

Set me free. Please.

Tyrcestus staggered back as though released from a trance - and the next second he was racing back up ship, straight towards the wheel.
"STOP TURNING!" he bellowed. "STOP!! TURNING!! THE BLASTED BOAT!!"
Vizard poked his head out from below deck. "Are we about to die?"
Tyrcestus grabbed the stunned captain and Leon by the shoulder, one hand each. "Both of you, give the orders - send this ship full speed ahead, straight on and straight through."
"You called it, we're all about to die again," Vizard's voice could be heard wearily as he retreated below deck.
"YOU'VE GONE BLOODY MAD," the captain yelled, but Tyrcestus grabbed the captain by the head and looked into his eyes. "JUST. TRUST. ME."
The captain wrestled with it, then - "Yo, lads! WE'RE LAYING SIEGE TO THE LOCKER TONIGHT!!" he roared as he spun the wheel back, the prow of the ship aiming dead straight with the terrible suction of the whirlpool. The typhoon raged ever closer as he turned to Leon. "Get your men to go as fast as you can. Do you hear me? However fast this ship can go, MAKE IT GO FASTER!!"

Before Leon could respond he was tearing down the deck again, this time straight to Sean.
"Sean," he said urgently. "You're going to need to create a electrical field around the ship. The whole thing, it's got to be super-charged. It needs to be borderline airtight, or at least powerful enough to withstand that typhoon, if only for a few seconds. You can do it. Trust me."

Hexy landed, questions in her eyes, so Tyrcestus whirled to her.
"Hi."
"Hi."
"What we doing?"
"Charging in."
"Why?"
"Trust me."
"No."
"Why not?"
"You suck."
"Well screw you."
"No thanks, I have Sean for that."
"... Just... just help him out!!" And with that Tyrcestus took off once more for the hatch he'd originally left, only to get knocked off his feet and thrown around, landing, somewhat hilariously, head first in some buxom wench's bosom after crashing through the door to Vizzard's and Gizzard's room.
"SPPHM!"
*SLAP*
"To be fair, most women prefer it when you ask first before diving into the great ravine..."

Below deck, Clun tried to think of a way to keep Trinity occupied.
"Why is he so unnaturally nice? Tyrcestus?" he asked. "I rob him, he befriends me. You turn up naked, you're now his lover."
Troll culture was very much one for telling it like it was.

And so Ginger finally joins

Ability: Blessing/Curse of the Sea: Can morph into a merman while in the sea, however the longer he stays in this form the longer it takes to revert back to human. Once a certain point of time has passed without him changing back he will be stuck as a merman
Appearance: A tall young man, considered average in looks. Although two things do stand out on him: Is blue eyes and long shoulder length red hair, with red stumble to match. He dress in long black captain's coat with red trim and belt. His twin swords visible on his person, while pistols are hidden. Blunderbuss on his back but only carried if expecting trouble.

"DEFEND THIS SHIP TO THE LAST MAN! WE WILL SHOW THESE PIRATES" yelled the captain of a ship who's masts had been destroyed.
"Sorry, but that's not going to happen. We came for your ship's cargo, so if you'll kindly hand it over. LADS, LET'S GO!" The one who yelled this was none other than the captain of the ship of pirates, Ben Chillway. As he yelled for his men to board the ship and take it's cargo he had swung from the top of his ships mast, sword in hand leading the boarding.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" He had swung down and cut clean threw a man but instead of letting go of the rope and land on the enemy ship he continued to swing back like a pendulum and struck another man. After striking the second man Ben landed on then ship and drew his second sword. Ben's men also started jump onto the ship, and chaos ensued. Blades clashed, flintlocks fired and the sound of fighting was almost deafing. Ben was using his two swords skillfully cutting down several at once. Ordinarily trying to use two swords proves to actually slow the user and limit his movements, but Ben had used them long enough to find a flow in his use of the swords, making him a deadly opponent for most
"Captain! Alil' help here?" a crew man called out while defending against three men at once. Immediately Ben pulled out his twin pistols and took down two of the three men.
"Now where is the coward of a captain? He should be out here fighting with his men!" Ben said to him self while working his way through the fights on the ship, which had dramatically turn in favor of Ben's men by each moment that pasted.
"YOU FOOLS, YOUR LETING A BUNCH OF PIRATES BEST YOU!"
"Ah there you are, now mate care to end this?"
"YOU WILL HANG FOR THIS YOU KNOW, IF I DON'T KILL YOU FIRST!"
"Not likely but if you insist on this fighting.."
Ben charges at the captain, who panics because of it. Ben couldn't tell if it was because the ship captains had panicked or because he was a horrible swordfighter that he ended it in only a few strokes of the sword. With their captain dead the crew quickly gave up, and Ben's men took everything that wasn't nailed to the ship.
"Sir, we finished loading the Firebird with cargo. What shall we do with the crew of the Heimway?"
"Hmmmm, load as many as you can into the brig, we'll sell 'em as slaves once we get to a port. Leave the rest on this floating box"
"Aye sir"
With The Firebird loaded full of cargo Ben started sailing away from the now stranded ship.
"Fire on the Heimway, we to test if the new cannons are 'acquired' are working"
"Sir...."
"Do it lad, or would you rather find out they don't work when we are attacking a convoy?"
At the mention of a convoy the sailor went silent
"Thought so, now FIRE" At the shout of Ben the cannons fired and Heimway started to sink
"Ah there we go, now lads let's have a song! I'll start us:
O, my name was Captain Kidd, As I sailed, as I sailed, O, my name was Captain Kidd, As I sailed."
After Ben had started the men knew which song he was singing and picked up from there
"His name was Captain Kidd And God's laws he did forbid, And so wickedly he did as he sailed, as he sailed. So wickedly he did as he sailed."


After sailing for a bit Ben's mind started to wander. Just how the hell did i get into all this? Oh that's right, i signed on to a ship without realizing it was a pirate ship! And i was the one who saved us that day.....

"Right lad's lets catch us a nice ship full of plunder!"
"Aye!"
I was just a lowly hand back then, our captain loved stealing and plundering but seems he had a reputation for getting in over his head. For us this was going to be one of those times. We had end up chasing a small schooner into a fog, only to find it a part of a larger convoy, made up of Frigates and Galleons. Our little Brigit was more than out gunned. When the opened fire, a ball struck and kill the captain. With everyone in a panic i took the wheel and yelled to the others. i wasn't about to die that day so i managed to sail us out of the trap and a place to hide. After all said and done a question of who should be captain came up. Several of the men tried for it but seemed the majority of crewed wanted the one who lead them from the jaws of hell to lead them further. Been almost a year since then, learnt alot and sharpened my skills with a sword in that time. Thinking back i could barely hold a sword let alone two.‏
